In The Passion of the Christ (like the Gospels), Jesus is accused of claiming to be the Messiah, Son of God, Bread of Life, etc. But none of these warranted death until He claimed to be the Son of Man coming on the clouds of glory. Son of Man is Jesus’ clear claim to Divinity.

I like that Orthodoxy is getting more attention today. And I like many Orthodox content creators. Now what I don't like is when these content creators make TMZ style content, with scandals and gossip. And no, it doesn't make it better by saying at the end "Let's pray for them". As a woman I am already struggling with gossiping, and my tongue is my biggest enemy. Let's not normalize this and hold each other to a higher standard.
Whatever disagreements we may have, we can at least engage one another respectfully and represent our opponents honestly. And for that, you have my respect, @IndianaBrunner.
The guy who goes around smashing icons is now wrongfully accusing the Orthodox of being homosexuals.
Listen, I’ve been very outspoken against the doctrine of icon veneration, but this is not the way to go about it. And hey, I’m not innocent either. I’ve made plenty of mistakes and learned from them.
Paul REASONED with the pagans in Athens. He even appealed to their own philosophy to persuade them of the truth.
He didn’t go around smashing statues or making rash judgments about people. He preached the truth of our Creator and Redeemer.

Russia continues to destroy Christianity in Ukraine: shelling in Kramatorsk has damaged two Orthodox churches and a Caritas Catholic center.
On October 25, Russian attacks in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk damaged the Orthodox churches of the Intercession of the Theotokos and Saint Nicholas. At the former, the central dome and roof were damaged, windows and doors were blown out, shrapnel struck the Royal Doors in the right-hand side chapel, and the church grounds were also damaged. The Church of Saint Nicholas was struck by a drone, leaving a hole approximately one meter in diameter in the roof.
Additionally, on October 17, a strike by guided aerial bombs damaged the local office of the Catholic charity organization Caritas. The building’s facade, walls, interior spaces, and metal roof were damaged, and an explosion crater formed nearby. On the same day, a Russian munition struck an adjacent nine-story residential building.
Christians Worshipped Here—Until Russia Came
On October 18, the "Good News" church building in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, sustained severe damage following a Russian strike.
In the 1990s, a former Soviet-era building became a church for a Pentecostal congregation, a place where thousands of people were introduced to the Christian faith. That was the case until the arrival of Russian forces.
This is the second—and more destructive—instance of damage to the church building. On June 30, three Russian guided aerial bombs struck the church grounds; at that time, the interior was damaged, windows were blown out, and a portion of the ceiling collapsed. Now, the building has been struck once again.

They don't have arguments they have tactics. They will claim that you are "already refuted" without presenting a single word explaining how.

We’ve defined the Assumption. Y’all have not. We’ve also defined the canon. Y’all have not, which is why you still have inconsistent canons. Not surprising, since Trullo accepted inconsistent canons. We’ve done exactly what you’d expect the universal church to do; what we see in your sect is what we’d expect of disunited regional churches the largest of which is run by Vladimir Putin.

Mormons making a mockery of the Eucharist. Why do these atheists pretend to be Christian?
Acts 20:7: "Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread."
That was the Sunday pattern of the early church. Every Sunday, in every Latter-day Saint congregation on earth, we still take the bread and water in remembrance of Jesus Christ (Luke 22:19).
No special occasion. Just every Sunday.
How often does your church do it?

Y’all don’t have a defined canon. The problem isn’t just with the deuterocanon but with the NT itself. The East rejected Revelation for centuries. Western regional councils were not binding definitions.

Because Canon 28 was not a mere denial. In the quote provided, he actively annuls it by the authority of Peter (more on what he understood that authority to entail below).
In annulling the canon, we see Leo claim authority that is supreme (as he acted contrary to an ecumenical council), immediate (acting without appeal and outside mediation), ordinary (through authority belonging to him as the heir and successor of Peter), universal (as it touched proceedings that took place beyond the west and which touched upon the universal hierarchy of sees), and episcopal (expressing the same care for the church that a bishop has for his diocese).
Since those five notes are observed, his conception of papal authority matches that of Vatican I. And if he held this conception of papal authority, he can clearly bind the Church to a doctrinal position - which is precisely what he did with his Christological tome. In fact, before Chalcedon, Leo didn’t think that an ecumenical council was needed as a matter at hand was already settled by his tome.
I mean consider the following quote from Sermon 4 (below). This is clearly someone who believed in the universal and supreme nature of papal authority.

BREAKING: President of the Federation Una Voce, Joseph Shaw (@LMSChairman), confirms no Solemn High Mass was ever intended at Saint Mary Major Basilica, meaning the supposed “cancellation” on Saturday was incorrect information provided
Catholic Primer retweeted
As is often the case in breaking news, the truth slowly comes out.
Today we learn directly from the organizers of the TLM pilgrimage that when they could not get Saint Peter’s basilica… “permission was sought and gained for a Prelatial (Pontifical) Low Mass in St Mary Major.”
So unlike what so many bloggers, podcasters, journalists, and rage baiters claimed, this was NOT a last-minute change but something that was known since August.
Respect to those who have already corrected what they previously posted and shame on those who have not.
I’ll also note, since I shared early on that events on their official website were still incorrect a day before the pilgrimage began (and many of these same people, including a priest involved said I was lying about that when it was updated the following day) the organizers also said this… “The SP website was based on what happened last year. The problem was that as things were confirmed, very late in the day, they were contirmed as being different trom what they expected, and the website was not updated. So I now understand.”
