#Chicago based @qbraid_official just won an impressive award here at #QWC2022. They’re an example of the vibrant #quantum ecosystem in and around Chicago.

Our team had a great afternoon yesterday, volunteering at @FirebirdChicago which uses glassblowing and ceramics as tools for healing here in #Chicago. #75years75stories
Yesterday at #qwc2022 I met with @Quantropi, a highly-innovative Canadian company based in #Ottawa doing fascinating work with #quantum technology.
I even got to be their first quantum selfie of the day!
The #Chicago @msichicago has a #Canada themed #christmas tree! Complete with Canadiana like canoes, lumberjacks, hockey players, and maple leafs. Just missing some syrup!
On "diversity day"@lyceechicago I read my daughter's class the Hockey Sweater & we watched @thenfb La Chandail. Proud to talk about being from #Montreal #Canada & wear my @CanadiensMTL gear.
Other than my daughter, not 1 kid could identify what I was holding as a hockey stick!

Every year, Nova Scotia provides Boston with its official yuletide tree as a thank you for the city's response to the 1917 #HalifaxExplosion
An estimated 2,000 people died & 9,000 more were hurt.
Aid from #Boston was the 1st to arrive, and the response has not been forgotten.
Someone somehow managed to get me a bottle of Stoney Tangawizi, a @CocaColaCo product, and I am at once in heaven, and heartbroken that I cannot easily get this magical beverage in North America.
I mean, I think #Montreal should be higher and I'm enjoying #Chicago as least as much as I liked #WashingtonDC, but I'll take what I can get.

I recently ordered business cards for my new position here at @CanCGChicago. At my request, the cards were delayed because I wanted to make sure my twitter handle was on them.
Not sure that was the best move anymore.
I’m here! Currently surrounded by a LOT of very big brains.
Hoping for a chance to tell people about the opportunities for #quantum in #Canada.
#midwestquantum
Attending the @ChicagoQuantum #midwestquantum summit today. It’s a full house! I’m planning on learning a lot and talking to new friends about #Canada’s focus on #Quantum.
I'm really looking forward to this, to learning a lot and to building connections between some of the impressive #Quantum work taking place in #Canada and #Chicago.
Canada has a new quantum strategy you can read about here: ised-isde.canada.ca/site/nat…
.@TCS_SDC will be at the @ChicagoQuantum Summit. Please join us on November 14-15 at the @ChiCulturCenter to learn more about the cutting edge of #quantum technologies.

The greatest city on earth.
Other places are great, but #Montreal is very special.
There's no place like home...
