At @RavenGlasses launch party in SF privacy is front and center, coverable camera, swappable batteries at the end of the temples, extensible hardware
I still find myself trying to save info to remember it later to then realize that we are in an era in which everything is already remembered by our agents #freedom
agents with human names seem to skew masculine, while those with neutral names tend to default to feminine voices.
what does that say about us and how we imagine AI?
Today i woke up to an alert from my dot zenny about suspicious activity with one of my @OpenAI API keys.
One of my apple store published apps might have leaked a key. They raked $7k+ on tokens. Codex is on it!! Be careful out there ...
who would’ve thought that in less than a year, we’d go from “measure three times, cut once” to “cut three times, measure once”? and it’s way more fun!
The invisible swarm: really interesting vision of a quasi biological organic looking complex system AI evolution
What if AI becomes the environment? Located everywhere, and no where in particular? It is likely to be a swarm intelligence. Here is what that might mean: kevinkelly.substack.com/p/sw…
Maybe this is how we’ll talk to our AI in the future. A simple gesture that signals to others: “I’m talking to my AI.”
As AI agents get more capable, talking to our agents will become more valuable.
That’s why I’m bullish on rings like this:

One of my favorite ideas from the GPT-Live session at @OpenAIDevDay: separating what the model should remember, what it should say, and what should change its behavior.
@_agamble & Erika Kettleson & @ChatGPT
At @OpenAIDevDay… although apparently I accidentally showed up at The Reset Company event with @thsottiaux 😄
Lots to think about toda. Especially around personalized experiences, agents, and what we developers get to build next.

And a few min later my first game french mini learning practice is here #fun
The end of an era and the beginning of the most exhilarating time of our lives.
The abstraction layer went up one more time (assembly anyone?)
If we were builders more than programmers we can embrace what's coming more than regretting the lost past.

Chat-GPT should never say "i can't do this" for tasks that codex could do.
It should say "do you want me to open another thread and help you do this?"
Then it should help with setup or give instructions to get the browser and computer use needed to get it done.
It would be the perfect onboarding/educational opportunity and even the perfect handoff for users that started chatting and things got a bit more hands on.

Is talking to AI making us dumber or could its structured thinking rub off on us?
Since leaving Google, I’ve used AI as a daily thinking partner. I’m learning new frameworks and connections constantly.
Do you feel smarter, dumber, or simply different?
I’ve been building HaloField: AI-guided conversational experiences for the real world.
Practice a language as you move through your day. Catalog shelves and collections. Capture brainstorming sessions so ideas don’t disappear.
I’m opening a small beta soon for phones and smart glasses. Let me know if you're Interested.
Codex Micro kbd-1.0 sold out before I could get one, so I turned my FOMO into an open-source #Cardputer project.
I had so much fun building with hardware in the mix and AI made it surprisingly easy.
My favorite part is using voice to send a task, then steering it with another instruction while Codex is working.
