In Eid al-Adha, there are two types of takbeer (proclaiming God's greatness - Allahu Akbar), one is general and one is specific. The specific takbeer is recited after the obligatory prayers, starting from the Fajr prayer on the Day of Arafah (tomorrow) until the Asr prayer on the last of the Tashreeq days (Eid days).
The general takbeer can be recited at all times and in any place—such as in the marketplace, on the road, and so on. Its time begins from the sighting of the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah until the end of the Tashreeq days. This is based on the verse: "That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of God on known days" [Surah Al-Hajj: 28].
This Eid is a sad Eid in Gaza with genocide ongoing for the 20th month and for the 4th Eid. It is our obligation as Muslims to support our brothers and sisters in every we can.
