Last week, I joined the Borderland Business Association to talk about the upcoming 2027 legislative session and the issues that matter most to our community.
From affordability and property taxes to health care, public education, and economic development, there’s a lot of important work ahead.
I shared some of my priorities for the upcoming session and the investments I’ll continue fighting for to help El Paso grow and create more opportunities for our families.
Thank you to the Borderland Business Association for the conversation and for your continued work to support our local business community. #txlege

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our community medication take-back event this weekend!
Together, we collected 20 pounds of unused and expired prescription medications here in El Paso, contributing to the 1,015 pounds collected across the entire giveback program.
I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to clean out their medicine cabinets and help keep these medications out of the wrong hands and away from children and pets. Small actions like these go a long way toward keeping our community safe! #txlege
Getting to take my prima to the polls was a special moment for me. There’s something extra meaningful about getting to share that experience with family.
I loved getting to hear what matters most to her and what she hopes for the future. It’s always encouraging to see the next generation getting involved and making their voices heard!
If you haven’t voted yet, make a plan to get out there! Your voice matters, and every election is a chance to help shape the future of our communities. #txlege
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Community Safety & Solutions Forum to discuss the August 4 emissions event.
There are still important questions to address, and it was important to bring our community together with Marathon Petroleum, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and other stakeholders to talk about what comes next.
These conversations are an important step toward improving communication, strengthening emergency response, and making community safety a priority. We’ll continue working toward meaningful solutions and keeping El Paso residents informed. #txlege
