Tim Tebow explains how to compete with someone for a job without secretly rooting for them to fail: “I would try to show up with the mindset of, ‘I’m competing with Chris Leak, but also for him as a team.’ I’m on his team, and he’s on the same team I’m on.” “When I get to go in the game, I’m trying to do good for him so he gets to come back on the field.” “We’re competing FOR each other.” “Average competitors, and I mean this more in mindset, not talent, want to beat someone when they’re weaker.” “Elite competitors want to beat people at their best.” “I want him to do good. I just want to do better. I’m going to root for him. I’m going to praise him. I’m going to encourage him. I’m going to want the best for him.” “Am I going to want to do great? Yes. But I’m going to choose to root for him. It’s a choice.” “It’s not always emotion. Your emotions, your pride and your ego, it can get to you. Fighting against it is a daily, moment-by-moment thing.”

You root for your country. I think the red card was wrong. You think the appeal process was wrong. (I would argue it shouldn’t have needed one) We disagree. I am American, so I’m pleased Flo can play. It will ultimately be decided on the field. Ball don’t lie. 🇺🇸 (I’ve been on appeal calls with both the NFL and the Premier League many times. Trust me, there are times you know you’re likely fighting a losing battle, but you fight it anyway because that’s what you do for your team. Every now and then it works. But the vast majority you either lose an appeal you thought you should’ve won or you lose one you already knew you were going to lose. So it’s nice to be on the winning side of one that shouldn’t have been red in the first place. Still have to go out and perform now.)

Really. Country over the rules of the game? Common JJ. This is cheating in the worst way.Totally political.I guess NFL rules don’t matter. You can just get the team Roger likes most and have them win. It ruins all the hard work these guys put in. Makes them all part of a scandal

🚨 Kylian Mbappé: "My thoughts on hydration breaks? Don't ask us players for our opinion, we're very reactionary. If tomorrow we're dominating at the 25th minute, and there's a hydration break, we'll be angry, because it breaks our rhythm, but if the weather is hot, or we're being dominated, I'll be happy."

🚨 Klopp on the USA’s impressive World Cup opener: “This USA World Cup opener vs Paraguay is a masterclass in how a properly run country prepares for the biggest stage. Some love saying the United States don’t take football seriously. But the painful truth is this: even the level of seriousness and professionalism they bring to the game is still higher than what we see from some nations that claim football is their everything. Yes, they have many immigrants in the squad… but that’s not the main reason they’re a decent side. The real secret is the incredible platform, world-class training facilities, and development system they give these players. That’s the difference. Look at the result: they came out in the opening game and delivered a scoreline better than the previous three matches combined. Thatt can’t be luck. That’s preparation meeting opportunity. This is exactly why they are so proud to be hosting the World Cup. They are not just showing up to participate… they came to make a statement and put the world on notice.”

Harrison Ford was in tears during his super emotional Lifetime Achievement Award speech. This was so good "Sometimes we make entertainment. Sometimes we make art. Sometimes, if we're lucky, we make 'em both at the same time. And if we're really fortunate, we also get to make a living doing it. Success in this business brings a certain freedom that comes with responsibility to support each other, to lift others up when we can. To keep the door open for the next kid, the next lost boy who's looking for a place to belong. I'm, indeed, a lucky guy. Lucky to have found my people. Lucky to have work that challenges me. Lucky to still be doing it. And I don't take that for granted." #ActorAwards
