$VELO CAN BUILD ALL THE TECHNOLOGY IT WANTS. BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE ACTUALLY TRIES TO USE IT? That's the part I'm curious about. Imagine downloading Orbit Plus for the first time. You don't know much about blockchain. You just want to understand what the app does, how easy it is to use, and whether it offers something better than your current financial services. If you need twenty minutes just to figure out where to start, there's already a problem. And that's something I think crypto developers sometimes underestimate. People don't necessarily choose the most advanced technology. They often choose whatever makes their lives easier. For Velo, making Orbit Plus available is an important step. But making someone comfortable enough to return tomorrow is an entirely different challenge. I'd love to see how first-time users experience the app, especially those who aren't already familiar with crypto. #VELO.
Product access matters. Expanding into new markets gives more people the opportunity to explore a platform and understand how it fits their needs. Orbit Plus has added 15 countries to its availability list, including Canada, New Zealand and 13 European markets. Check it out šŸ‘‰ iOS: apps.apple.com/my/app/orbit-… šŸ‘‰ Android: play.google.com/store/apps/d… #Velo #OrbitPlus

I don’t want managing my money to become a second job. But I don’t want convenience to mean handing over every decision either. Reading Zebec’s post, I wonder how much complexity we’ve learned to accept just to keep control. I’d call it progress when looking after my money leaves me more time to live.

WHAT IF THE REASON TO USE VELO IS SIMPLY MORE MONEY MAKING IT HOME? Imagine working abroad and sending part of your salary to your family every month. Before they can spend it, transfer fees and currency conversion take their share. ADB’s Asian Economic Integration Report 2026 puts the average cost of sending $200 to Asia at 5.4% in Q1 2025, compared with 6.5% globally. That measures the problem. Now consider a separate, hypothetical example: a $500 monthly budget, with transfer costs deducted. At 6%, the family receives $470.
At 3%, they receive $485.
At 1%, they receive $495. Moving from 6% to 1% leaves the family with an extra $300 a year, from exactly the same earnings. This is the opportunity I’d want Velo and its partners to prove: a cheaper, reliable journey from someone’s wages to money their family can actually use. The 1% figure is a scenario, not a verified Velo rate. The comparison needs to include funding, conversion, transfer and cash-out costs on the same route. A worker shouldn’t need to understand blockchain to benefit from it. They should be able to see the difference in what arrives home. #Velo

Appreciate you digging further into this. We’ve narrowed it down: where does SHX enter the process between someone supplying capital and a merchant receiving dollars? A worked example from Stronghold would help connect the pieces. Glad we’re asking these questions together.
The source of these #shx decentralized liquidity pools providing usd appears to be a secret. Maybe @CryptoBankerSHX can illuminate. Here is as far as I got with Grok

I asked a question about $SHX, and several people took time out of their day to help me understand it. Thank you. I went back to Stronghold’s own explanations after reading your replies. I’d been looking at it from one angle: why would a business buy the token? What I’d missed was that a merchant can encounter SHX through running their business. Stronghold says merchants earn reward points from payment volume and can redeem them for SHX or reductions in processing fees. It also describes SHX liquidity pools as supporting its merchant financing product. Businesses receive funding in dollars, with repayments tied to sales. That helped me separate the merchant’s needs from the token’s role. A business owner might simply want lower costs or working capital, without ever having a price target for SHX. I still want to understand how these activities translate into ongoing token demand. But I have a clearer starting point now, thanks to the people who joined the discussion. I’m glad I asked. #Stronghold
With SHX, I want to understand why someone would need the token even if they had no intention of investing in it. Think of a business owner. They already have a way to pay suppliers. Asking them to change means giving them a reason worth the hassle. Now suppose Stronghold makes those payments easier. Great. My next question is where SHX fits into that process. Because liking the company and understanding demand for its token are two separate things. I want to be able to explain both before getting carried away with a price target. #SHX #Stronghold

Does a shop need to adopt crypto for its customers to spend it? Velo’s Spain announcement shows why that question matters. Orbit+ lets users fund spending with USDC and supported assets through a virtual Mastercard. The customer gets another way to pay. The shop can keep accepting cards. Getting crypto into everyday life becomes a lot more practical when every merchant doesn’t have to learn how it works first. #VELO #OrbitPlus #Spain
Soak up Spain šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ø From the striking architecture of Barcelona to sharing tapas over a long lunch, there’s always something worth stopping for. I wonder what Trump would say to the man who wrote this in 2019.
I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, and whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air. Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity....

I’d love to hear the panel tackle this: if a payment starts on Sunday but the recipient can only use it on Monday, how ā€œalways-onā€ is it really? Stablecoins can move around the clock. The harder question is whether liquidity, currency conversion and access to local money can keep up. A payment is finished when the person receiving it can actually use the money. That’s the standard I’d like Zebec’s discussion in London to explore. #Zebec #ZBCN #Stablecoins
.@blockworksDAS London kicks off next week! Zebec’s CEO @simonb_ldn will join the ā€œAlways-On Paymentsā€ panel at the Digital Money Association’s London flagship event, discussing stablecoins, liquidity and cross-border payments. šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ šŸ“… Monday, November 9 We’re also hosting an exclusive Zebec side event for DAS. Details to follow.

WHAT IF SEI’S NEXT SPEED UPGRADE IS REALLY ABOUT WAITING LESS? Imagine several people ready to work, but only one can submit their work at a time. Would you ask that person to move faster—or rethink the queue? Sei’s proposed SIP-6 upgrade to Autobahn takes the second approach: multiple validators could propose transaction batches simultaneously, while the network agrees on their order. But doesn’t everyone still need to agree? Yes. The proposal separates sharing transaction data, agreeing on order and executing transactions so those stages can overlap. If transactions arrive through several validators, where does the queue form next? That’s what I’d want to understand. More ways in only help if ordering and execution can keep up. Overlapping those stages could help prevent the bottleneck from simply moving somewhere else. This is a proposed step toward Sei Giga. Its practical benefits still need to be demonstrated. I’d call it progress when a busy network stops making the user feel the crowd. #SEI #SeiNetwork
Breaking: Sei is preparing for the biggest step on the road to Giga.

2.6 MILLION ASTER BOUGHT. ANOTHER 2.6 MILLION BURNED. WHO GIVES UP THE TOKENS? That was my first question reading Aster’s update. For October 19–November 2, Aster reports using 99% of daily platform fees to buy back 2,604,529.88 ASTER for stakers. A matching amount was burned from the team allocation. Those are two separate actions. The purchased tokens go to stakers; the team gives up an equal number of its allocated tokens. I find that distinction useful. It connects rewards to fee-generating activity while reducing the team’s allocation. But what happens if fees fall? The mechanism then has less money available for buybacks. Its strength still depends on people choosing to trade there. A burn tells me what disappeared. The business behind the buyback tells me what might keep working. #Aster

WHY PAY SOMEONE $10 TO RELOAD $10? Because getting someone to try a new payment app means asking them to change something that already works for them. Velo’s offer gives the first 500 qualifying new users a $10 bonus after signing up through Orbit+ and reloading 10 USDC. The detail I keep coming back to is what earns the reward: actually funding the account. That could help Velo bring in users who complete the setup, learn where they struggle, and see whether a first reload leads to another. At 500 bonuses, the advertised payout would total $5,000. The limit puts a ceiling on that expense while giving the team a chance to learn from a manageable group. I’d read this as a possible customer acquisition experiment. The intention may be to make that first attempt feel worthwhile. The revealing moment comes later: when someone opens Orbit+ again without being paid to. #VELO #OrbitPlus #PayFi

8 NEW CHAINLINK INTEGRATIONS. AND I HAVE A QUESTION. šŸ˜‚ Anchorage, Polymarket, S&P Global Ratings… all very different businesses. So why are they interested in the same infrastructure? I doubt they all woke up thinking, ā€œLet's make crypto investors happy today.ā€ šŸ˜‚ They're looking for something useful. But here's what I'm wondering: how many of these integrations will become part of everyday operations? Because announcing an integration is one thing. Having companies actually depend on it is another. #Chainlink #LINK #BlockchainAdoption

COULD USD VELO ($USDV) CREATE REAL DEMAND FOR $VELO? I've been looking more closely at how USD Velo fits into the Velo ecosystem. Velo's original reserve system was designed to use VELO tokens as collateral for stable digital credits. If that mechanism applies to USDV, growing demand could require more VELO to be acquired and locked, potentially reducing its liquid supply. But USDV also uses other reserve assets, so we shouldn't assume every new USDV creates demand for VELO. The question I find most important isn't simply how many people will use USD Velo. It's how much economic value that adoption can actually bring back to $VELO. #VELO #USDV #PayFi #RWA

The most expensive thing in crypto can be the need to be right. Once a coin becomes your identity, every warning feels like an insult. I want my ideas to compete for my capital, not my loyalty.

SEVEN UPGRADES. ONE PAYMENT THAT MIGHT OTHERWISE NEVER HAPPEN. I look at Velo’s Q4 roadmap and imagine a business trying to pay an invoice. It has the money. But the funds are on one chain, the invoice is in another currency, and the supplier wants a bank transfer. Is that a shortage of money—or a shortage of ways to use it? More supported chains could make the funds accessible. Swaps could handle conversion. Additional payment routes and fiat off-ramps could help deliver what the supplier actually accepts. Telegram could make initiating that payment more familiar. AI invoice tools could automate parts of the process; x402 could let agents pay for digital services. The value would come from these pieces working together, with clear fees, permissions and reliable execution. The roadmap still has to become that experience. A business can have enough money to pay and still struggle to complete the payment. That gap is where I see Velo’s opportunity. #VELO #PayFi

HOW MUCH OF DUSK’S OCTOBER WORK WILL NEVER NEED TO BE DONE AGAIN? Imagine ten teams building applications. Each needs a way to read network data, work in familiar languages and handle wallet addresses. If all ten build those foundations separately, have we gained ten innovations—or repeated the same work ten times? Dusk’s October update includes Python and Go tooling, Multicall for batched reads, and dusk domains on mainnet. I see those releases as an opportunity to make one team’s work reusable by many. What might those developers create with the time they no longer need to spend rebuilding the basics? Perhaps the most valuable thing infrastructure produces is room for someone else’s idea. #Dusk #DUSK
Dusk shipped a lot in October, from faster ZK proofs to .dusk names for wallet addresses. Here's what's new: → 10 cryptography releases → Phoenix privacy releases → Dusk Domains on mainnet → W3sper for Python and Go → Multicall for batched reads Get all the details ↓

$500M IN PAYROLL. WHOSE REPUTATION MOVES WITH THE MONEY? Zebec reports $500M in annual payroll volume and 250+ enterprise clients. I work night shifts, and I expect my salary on the 10th. If it didn’t arrive, I’d ask my employer what happened. I wouldn’t start by investigating their payment provider. That’s why I see more than money in those figures. What does a business hand over when it chooses someone to handle payroll? Part of its ability to keep its word to the people working for it. A company can outsource its payroll. It cannot outsource the blame. That’s what Zebec has to earn every payday: the right to carry a promise made by someone else. #Zebec #ZBCN
