If the opposition settles on any other candidate apart from Sifuna, they will have played themselves.
First, Sifuna is an erudite debator, a distinguished lawyer and an excellent debator. Ruto will very likely avoid any presidential debates with Sifuna.
Second, Sifuna is an underdog compared to Ruto. He is younger, he has way less money, he has a humble home. People love an underdog. This is why David was loved more than Saul. This is why the story of the 300 at Thermopylae is famous. The underdog Spartans defeated a behemoth Persian army.
Sifuna has resonated with the people because he is committing in advance to obey and be bound by the constitution. Remember the constitution is the People's charter. They negotiated it and gave it to themselves in 2010. They want their leaders to respect it.
Sifuna resonates with the young people. He stood between then and armed police in 2024 and has consistently been on their side, calling out government excesses and condemning police brutality in no uncertain terms. They see him as their defender and their leader.
Sifuna will be great for turnout. Many young people will vote most of them for the first time and will camp at the polling stations to guard the vote.
The love is evident. Even when Sifuna is not in Kitengela, his mere mention ignites the crowd. Kenyans have decided it is Sifuna's time.

From their yesterday deliberations on how Linda Mwananchi Movement Party officials were to be elected in Bungoma County-today Kimilili Constituency has taken lead to prove that democracy, transparency and accountability can be achieved.
MP Aspirants vying under LMM were present, all MCA aspirants vying under LMM were present from Kimilili Constituency and they made decisions in unity to elect their Ward & Constituency party officials.
It truly can be done and just like the party leader himself H.E Edwin Watenya Sifuna had guided, all stakeholders were accomodated and youth and women have been absorbed into party structures and no Aspirants have been given any active positions to ensure fair and free nominations will be achieved.
