South Korea in my opinion, is quite an impressive and amazing country. If you are familiar with Korea’s history, you will know that they came from humble beginnings, but you will also know that they are an extremely resilient and a proud people. They have a rich culture and history and they are known for being one of the most hardest working and most disciplined people on the planet. In fact, after the devastating aftermath of the Korean War, South Korea’s nominal GDP grew over 31,000-fold since 1953 from a mere $40.9 million to over $1.5 trillion today, which is an economic growth achievement that no other country has ever rivaled to date. And, according to my economics professor, he called this feat an “Extraordinary Economic Miracle”. In addition, South Korea is also home to tech giants like Samsung and LG and car manufacturers such as Hyundai and Kia which are global brands known all over the world. Despite its size, South Korea also exerts a significantly large influence worldwide with its pop-culture which consists of K-pop, dramas, movies, fashion, online games, E-sports, etc. Like I said earlier, South Korea is quite an amazing country, which I can conclude having lived there for almost a year. Overall, Koreans have come a very long way in a rather short amount of time and their accomplishments are phenomenal and worthy of praise in my opinion.
