the conflation of judaism with zionism+israel is so incredibly dangerous, irresponsible, and antisemitic but people do so on purpose and it really works by way of creating a shield for criticism of israel, white supremacy, and zionism by casting said criticism as antisemitic.

BREAKING: The Texas 'Death Star' bill has been ruled unconstitutional.
HB 2127 bars local governments from passing any law that goes above and beyond state law. It would've invalidated local worker protections, minimum wages, and more.
But now an injunction has been issued.

On a show I was the WA, the showrunner asked me to "help write an outline". I wrote half & asked for credit. The showrunner said she was going to tell me something because she liked me. I was not in a position to ask for credit and I should have been "grateful to have my job."

For too long farmworkers have struggled with low wages & lack of rights & protections that other workers enjoy. This will meaningfully improve the lives of thousands of hardworking people in Maine who put food on our tables. We look forward to it becoming law. #mepolitics

The Writers Guild is on strike. Hollywood is closed for business. The union's bargaining documents reveal a cartel of studios that refused to negotiate on a single position. This could go on for a long-ass time:

I wrote this letter recently to my friends in the antiwar and anti-nuclear movements. I see it’s being circulated, so I’ve decided to share it here. For all of you working on these issues, thank you, and please keep going!

The best way for travelers to handle strikes is to view them as a cultural experience.
In Marseille, I was surrounded by thousands marching in the streets. I enjoyed photographing striking parents with kids on their shoulders—and learned firsthand what labor action is all about.
Travelers to Europe are largely free from coronavirus restrictions, but they may have to contend with another challenge: navigating disruptions as airline, railway and bus workers walk off the job over low wages and labor conditions. nyti.ms/3KG9JJV
