Reminder that none of this is real and I don’t know why the trades are giving this coverage unless they’re getting paid a lot of money. The company making this “film” is the same company who made “Tilly Norwood”. Don’t let the headlines scare you, this is all a scam. The industry isn’t “hiring Tilly Norwood”.
Controversial AI "actor" Tilly Norwood will "star" in 'Misaligned,' marking the first time she has lead a feature film.
Eline van den Velden’s Particle 6, which created Norwood, is in development on the pic. The London-based firm claims to have “retrained and upskilled” more than 30 TV and film creatives, filmmakers, actors and technologists since its launch, and is now applying the approach to the movie’s production.
Particle 6 claims 'Misaligned's production will see traditional professionals such as directors, writers and editors working alongside AI specialists

Last year, I had the tremendous privilege of shooting this short documentary about a corner store in #Calgary. I first encountered The Alberta Corner Store while working on a film called The Order, and quickly fell in love with the store and the family who owned it. It was a story I felt needed to be shared.
In a world of being put on hold by chatbots... we sure need more Mrs. Kims in our neighbourhoods.
Hope my friends on @x enjoy it. – at Calgary, Alberta

Gentle reminder that negative stories will always generate more clicks than positive stories. Every “the sound stages are empty, the industry is over” headline is designed to generate a click. If you let this mentality consume you, you will always feel awful. You will be overwhelmed with “woe is me”. I know more people than ever making stuff. I know more people than ever selling scripts and getting auditions. Careful with what you consume and where you place your thoughts.
I hope that our culture soon recognizes that getting an AI-generated response to an email feels notably worse than just being ignored.

I desperately need to find my way into this.
Matt Dillon is set to lead the upcoming “Magnificent Seven” series adaptation at MGM+.
Dillon will play Chris Adams, the role originated by Yul Brynner in the original 1960 film.

Hey, If you would be interested in viewing a short documentary about the incredible impact one person can have on their community... may I humbly suggest our film "More Than Convenience"?

Dear YouTube, Gmail, Facebook… whoever. Please stop suggesting a comment I want to make or email I want to send.
I loathe it.
If I want to say it… I will.
Thanks!
Hey everyone!
Our new short doc "More Than Convenience" is available to watch now. It's the story of a store that built a community, and then died after 123 years.
It's a pretty special project to me, so I'd love to hear any thoughts!

Hot take: with low hanging TIkTok’s and random dance videos getting millions of views, we’re back to quality over quantify. I genuinely believe a great piece of material with 500 views will do more for you if the right person sees it than a dumb piece of “content” with 5 million views.
Pondering leaving my cell phone provider because I can't get through to a human only a useless AI/computer/whatever "attendant.
Any nice suggestions in Canada?
Quick note for young parents: Everyone is going to tell you there is some age where your kids won’t want to be out with you… in my experience (thankfully) this does not have to be true.
Our teens are all great hangs.
Lots of driving yesterday meant I finally caught up on @YourAMPIA's new podcast series. Lots of great interviews and insight. Check it:

Every AI post that I see makes me more compelled to tell deeply human stories.
It turns out, few things make me more energized to both write stories and interview humans than seeing bland averaged out approximations of our lives.

Hey filmmakers here's my experience after 30 plus years. Most people who like your stuff generally don't write anything about it. They don't tweet, they don't post, they just enjoy it and that's it. You have to get used to that. They have other things to think about than you.
So ridiculous.
