Can you imagine if CBS celebrated every man that made it part of the way through a hard military course? “He made it farther than anyone else from his small town in Alabama.” So. What!? Failed. Woman want equality until they can’t do it… then they want preferential treatment or to be celebrating for almost being as good as a man at xyz. I’m sure these women are tough. They should probably get out of the Navy and marry one of the men that passed BUDS and then raise warrior sons. Americans want men in these positions that wake up excited about how hard it’s going to be. When the instructors talk about how many will get dropped… we smile and think “yeah but not me” or “you’re kind of fat… if you made it so can I” We were actually excited because we knew we were built different than 99.9% of the population. When we didn’t eat, we laughed about how bad it sucked. When we were cold and our feet were bleeding… we thought “can’t be cold forever and my feet will grow back” This creates a man that can say from the bottom of his heart “energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might.” When we’re dropped into bad situations overseas — anytime day or night — we destroy the enemy. I don’t care how fat Americans get or how many women are celebrated for being a mediocre man in combat arms positions… there will always be a very small number of men who are so elite the rampant mediocrity doesn’t matter. Americans “sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men [not women] stand ready to do violence on their behalf"
