Billionaire Tyler Perry gave his own family 60 days to find jobs or lose his financial support. Despite being worth an estimated $1.4 billion, he refused to keep supporting relatives who weren't working. In the video below, Perry explains why he fired his own aunt and later gave other family members an ultimatum after his mother's death. He wanted them to become financially independent instead of relying on his fortune. One aunt regularly called asking for money, and Perry kept sending it until he offered her a job. But she repeatedly called in and failed to show up for work, so he eventually fired her. His mother had also asked him to support other relatives, and he continued helping them while she was alive. After she died in 2009, Perry sent them letters giving them 60 days to find employment or lose his financial support. According to Perry, every relative eventually found a job. He didn't care whether the jobs paid well because he wanted them to earn their own money and have something to feel proud of. Perry also recalled a relative getting angry when he refused to hand over $1 million. He believed that continually giving money to people who refused to work was making their dependence worse. A billionaire who could afford to support his entire family chose to make them earn their own living. If you had $1.4 billion, would you keep supporting unemployed relatives or give them the same 60-day ultimatum?

In the next 20 - 30 years kids will be surprised to see old videos of adults reaction shouting about inventions like these... same people that used horses marvelled at cars mechanical engines. @elonmusk has literally turned cars into rocket science...
I hate to admit it, but this was my literal reaction. (NSFW: Language)

Last week, I met an old friend in Toronto who works as a welder and pipefitter on a new nuclear power plant project in Ontario, Canada. He earns a base salary of $4,000 every two weeks, and with overtime, his earnings can reach as high as $12,000 monthly. He also told me that the Canadian government now offers financial incentives to encourage people to learn skilled trades. One thing is clear: Even as the world goes crazy over AI, skilled trades will never go out of demand. The world will always need people who can build, install, repair, and maintain the infrastructure that keeps society running.

Omo, someone will get salary alert and feel good for a moment. Then rent, food, transport, family, subscriptions and small expenses start taking their share. Before you know it, you’re waiting for the next alert again. 😪😪 I want to understand why so many young Nigerians get stuck in this earn → spend → repeat cycle, and what could actually help us build wealth better. If this sounds even a little like you, please take 2 minutes to complete this form: tally.so/r/VLgDJl

As a man, don’t date or stay with a woman just to have one around. Be with someone who has something to offer, someone you can call in need who will find a way to help. Some women offer a man nothing besides vagina. Vagina should be the least a woman offers a man.

This was the reason Uber left Nigeria. GST team is doing an amazing job, they are well-researched. Nigerians have no idea they are paying a 7.5% transportation VAT via hidden charges. Don’t allow the APC to gaslight you.

Enugu SME center and @chilo_aco just provided @Risevest Academy with this space to expand our software training program to Enugu. We’ll run physical trainings from here in addition to the virtual program that will continue to run online. The goal is to produce world class developers from across the country and have a space in case people need hands on training. This means we now have physical locations in Lagos, Port Harcourt and now Enugu. We will train a pipeline of world class developers across the country over the next few years, God willing. ❤️🚀
