The spokesperson also commented on a recent incident involving singer Jay Chou from Taiwan, who reposted and liked a video in which he was introduced as a "Chinese singer." The move drew praise from some internet users on both sides of the Strait, while pro-DPP figures criticized it.

"Genuine understanding is never achieved from a distance – it develops and grows only through firsthand experience and the human connections forged through people-to-people exchanges," said Frederic Todenhöfer, a German author, political advisor, and journalist.
He reflected on a principle his father once taught: go there, see for yourself, and listen to every side before judging. He found that he knew surprisingly little about China, although China is deeply woven into German daily life — the technology they use, the batteries in their cars, the phones in their pockets, the markets their companies depend on.
His father and him have spent years trying to communicate distant societies and conflicts to people back home through books, documentaries, and social media. And this is what he shared: 👉bit.ly/4z6yxBg

Ninety years later, is the Long March over?
If you see it as a military campaign — yes, it ended in 1936.
But as a spirit? It never really ended.
From 18 farmers in Xiaogang village risking everything on a secret contract in 1978, to Shekou's "Time is money, efficiency is life" sign, to the Long March rockets — the same spirit forged during the Long March continues to drive China's development.
And it's not just China's story. China's four global initiatives — on development, security, civilization and governance — carry that same spirit beyond China’s borders.
As David Ferguson puts it: The questions China faces today are no different from the ones that the Red Army faced — there are no ready-made answers; but just like in the Long March days, China is finding its answer.
