One dumb thing about the Gamer V is that it’s a famiclone, right? But the A and B buttons are swapped (the button labeled A is actually the NES’ B button, and vice versa). I tried to open it up and swap the buttons, but it turns out they’re KEYED AND DONT FIT IN EACH OTHERS SLOTS
Hot take tho, I like the silicone d-pad. Yeah, you can press all four buttons at once which you’re not supposed to be able to do, but I feel like it combines all the benefits of a hard plastic d-pad and the four button arrangement that switch joycons have

It’s so funny because there was like NO reason for them to do this, there was nothing stopping them from making both buttons exactly the same design, it’s like they did this to spite people who actually know the hardware
Here’s some of my progress in Nice Code’s Minesweeper clone on the MyArcade Gamer V btw. Its stuck on a 10x14 grid but you can select the exact amount of mines, so Ive been slowly increasing the number until it becomes impossible. Youre also allowed up to 3 mistakes which is cool
I notice when people play “difficult” minesweeper they always just have huge boards, but they never experiment with insane mine density. I feel like this is a really unique thing I’m doing actually
