What a joy to return to one of the very first schools to Choose Love all the way back in 2016! Nicolle Grimes is the courageous school counselor who took a chance on a new, unknown program and helped turn it into something that transformed not only her own life, but the lives of her entire school community. From those early beginnings, Choose Love has rippled across the world, reaching 135 countries and counting! We are so incredibly grateful to our friends at Ka‘elepulu Elementary for the role they played in helping make Choose Love what it is today. 💛

One of Scarlett’s favorite things is visiting schools and seeing the Choose Love culture come to life! From the classrooms to the hallways, her visits are an inspiring reminder that Choose Love is more than a program - it’s a way of life that creates safer, more connected and more compassionate school communities. Scarlett received this year's “George Vanderheiden Lifetime Service Impact Award” from Hope on Haven Hill - for her work as the founder of the Choose Love Movement. “This award honors the enduring spirit and legacy of George Vanderheiden by recognizing individuals who have made a profound and lasting impact on improving the lives of women and children. It celebrates those who embody values of love, family, health, and unwavering commitment to strengthening communities.” It was truly an honor for Scarlett to be joined on stage by members of the Vanderheiden family as she was presented with the award! A beautiful night with an extraordinary group of leaders.
