Between about 2011 and 2016 he was making a lot of money doing corporate work, but he was not creating. He opens up about the call with his wife that changed things, finally going to see a psychologist, and why so many creatives lose the child in them when they stop playing.

A guy went to pay lobola for his girlfriend. While he was waiting in the car for his uncles to finish the negotiations, a guy around his age approached him, holding two beers.
After getting into the car, they started chatting. The guy asked:
“I hear you’re here to pay lobola, my brother?”
He replied, “Yes, my brother.”
The guy then asked, “Did she tell you that she has a nqosi (a child)?”
He replied, “Yes, she told me, and I even promised to love that child.”

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), through its Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) in Mpumalanga, in collaboration with the NPA’s Organised Crime Unit and the South African Police Service (SAPS), has secured a provisional restraint order over assets currently estimated at R99 million, linked to Joe Sibanyoni and others who are alleged to be involved in organised criminal activities, including extortion.
