Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. — 1 Corinthians 9:26-27, LSB

There is no “Arab America.” There is only the United States of America.
“Michigan is the capital of Arab America.” Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed makes the claim during remarks in Washington, D.C., pointing to Michigan’s large Arab American population.

My man Knox is spot on!!
One of the most terrifying judgments of God is not always sudden destruction or open calamity, but His sovereign act of giving sinners what they want...handing them over to the desires of their own hearts. His judicial abandonment is soul shaking! What the heart craves, God permits it to pursue and the result is a progressive darkening, shameful passions, and a mind that can no longer discern what is proper. That is where we have been and currently are. Wisdom warns in proverbs those who refuse her counsel that they “shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices” (Prov. 1:31). God withdraws restraining grace, leaves a people to their idols (Hos. 4:17), or send a strong delusion so that they believe what is false (2 Thess. 2:11). The judgment is not that He forces them into sin, but that He no longer restrains the sin they love.

Elections have consequences. The ramifications of this election will last not just 2 years until the next election—they'll last years more, possibly decades. Not voting is never a good strategy. That's lazy and short-sighted. Vote to prevent the worst, then do the hard work to put in better leaders.

Serious question, if the Muslims being elected today are not responsible for 9/11 then how am I as a white man responsible for slavery that happened 150 years ago. The left can’t have it both ways on this. I’m just looking for a little consistency.

🇺🇸 WTF?! Abdul El-Sayed declared Michigan the “CAPITAL OF ARAB AMERICA.” “I’m honored to be the next United States Senator from the great state of Michigan. Don't overcomplicate it. • Pray. • Read your Bible. •Write down observations/insights/ prayers/cross references. • Pray for what you read to take root. • Repeat everyday until God calls you home. My thoughts on the Midterm Results: My heart breaks for our country. Despite the best efforts by so many to support Republican candidates and call conservatives back to our principles, our Republican team suffered a historic defeat. This midterm election wasn’t a rout, it was a reckoning. The American people have rejected our party’s shift toward economic populism, and our majorities in Congress and state legislatures and governorships across the country paid the price. But like most people of faith, I’m an eternal optimist. I know that with God’s help, we can save our movement—and our country—again. We can return the Republican Party to the timeless principles that have led to our greatest successes and, more important, have made America strong, prosperous and free. The conservative comeback starts today. Let’s get to work. 🇺🇸

Tom is right. The same can be said for conservatives in GA. This addresses one of the massive problems with what happened during the 2026 midterms. And honestly, I don’t hear a lot of people talking about it. Everybody wants to talk about “why.” And that’s important but that needs to be where we start… Ladies and gentlemen, our age of instant gratification and immediate information has enabled and empowered people to stop thinking four dimensionally and critically. Everybody thinks about how they feel right now instead of taking a step back, and using discernment, critical thinking, and four-dimensional thought processing to play things out to their logical conclusion. And I say this as someone who feels the same pain everyone else does. Things are too expensive. I could buy a second home with what my small family of 3 spends on food. This war in Iran should’ve been over long ago! And overall there have been some massive fumbles by the Republicans over the last two years. I get it. I really do. But we need to be playing the long game. Chess, not checkers. Have there been misses and mishandling? Sure. 100%. Is it frustrating? 100%. Has it been all bad? Absolutely not!! Things definitely need to change. But to hand power over and/or back over to these extreme sycophants, socialists, and those who operate with a seared conscience shows a focus on many being lead by their emotions and a sincere lack of four dimensional thinking. If you think those things are bad now… what you have done through your action and inaction has made and will make things considerably worse over the next 4 to 6 years. Buckle up. CH
For those Republicans who were so angry with Abbott they either voted for Gina or didn’t vote, you need to come to grips with what you have likely done.

Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward doers of unrighteousness. For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb. Trust in Yahweh and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in Yahweh; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh, Trust in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday. Be still in Yahweh and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out schemes of wickedness. — Psalm 37:1-7, LSB

To the brother who's discouraged after last night: Your vote wasn't wasted and neither was your faithfulness. Go home, kiss your wife, pray with your kids, and continue to show up. "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

Charlie’s vision for Turning Point Action was always bigger than one election. He wanted a permanent, year-round operation with the people, relationships, and resources to compete in every cycle. He knew there would be victories and setbacks because he had experienced both and that’s why he built for both. Last night, we saw races Republicans once won handily by double digits come down to the thinnest of margins, and in some cases, flip entirely. Democratic socialist candidates made the cost of gas, groceries, and housing the center of their campaigns. And voters responded at the ballot box. A rising stock market doesn’t mean much when nearly half of Americans don’t have a 401K and just want to put gas in their trucks, put food on the table, and provide a good life for their families. But every time socialism has tried it has failed, because socialism concentrates economic power in the hands of the government instead of trusting individuals to build prosperity for themselves and their families. That’s fundamentally at odds with the free enterprise, individual liberty, and opportunity at the heart of the American experiment. We can disagree with the solutions voters were offered while still recognizing why they were looking elsewhere for answers. Exit polls clearly showed that the American people are concerned about the state of the economy and the war in Iran. This isn’t a surprise to us because we’ve heard the same concerns from our students around the country for months and we’ve been concerned about it too. The biggest mistake conservatives can make right now would be to allow this moment to become another exercise in finger-pointing, in-fighting, or trying to secure their own political preservation. That does not solve the problems the American people are demanding be solved. Turning Point was born out of a moment just like this following the Obama era, which was itself a reaction to the political frustration of the early 2000’s. Our history reminds us that moments of disappointment can actually be moments of renewal and infinite opportunity. Americans are not looking for labels and don’t subscribe to unquestioned party loyalty anymore either. They will support the candidates who can both speak to their concerns and deliver on what THEY need and dream about for their families. And those needs are the same as they have always been: an affordable home, safe communities, and the hope that the next generation will inherit a country with more opportunity than the last generation did. That is what the American dream has promised to all of us. I miss Charlie so much every single day, but especially on a day like today. He always said that when things are going well, we need to stay humble. And when things aren’t going the way we want, we need to stay positive, keep our faith, and get back to work. That’s exactly what we’re doing over at Turning Point today. We are going to listen, study the results, and spend the next two years making the case for how conservative, free market solutions, and a renewed focus on our country’s founding principles can address the problems the American people face. And we’re going to keep building the permanent infrastructure Charlie envisioned, strengthening our relationships in communities across the country, and preparing for 2028 and beyond. If you woke up feeling discouraged today, there’s more important work to do than ever. Our principles haven’t changed and neither has our mission. To every staff member, student, volunteer, and ballot chaser who gave their time and energy to this mission this cycle, thank you. I know Charlie would be unbelievably proud of each and every one of you, and I am, too. Onward. 🇺🇸

O taste and see that Yahweh is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Oh, fear Yahweh, you His saints; For there is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who inquire of Yahweh shall not be in want of any good thing. — Psalm 34:8-10, LSB

She’s right!! Well said, Jenna.
James Talarico and Abdul El Sayed both invoked a “god” and claimed it theirs was a “biblical” victory. First, they do not pray to the real God, nor identify Him as He reveals Himself in Scripture. Second, it was a biblical victory, but not in the way they claim. God is still sovereign, and He imposes consequences for the foolish and sinful choices of man. Romans 1 says the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, and that God will give over the unrighteous men to the lusts of their flesh. Professing to become wise, they became fools. So yes, the biblical victory for the Democrats is Romans 1 in action. God remains undefeated.

This is one the most remarkably refreshing and accurate responses by a politician after an election that I’ve seen. Thank you, Mr. @VP! Now, let’s get to work, put our hands to the plow, and listen in word and deed to what the voters said and didn’t say yesterday. By the people, for the people.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
