Today, we have a:
✅fracking ban for 2024
✅an official end date for oil extraction in CA
✅a draft public health & safety setback rule of 3200 ft.
A year ago, we had none of this. We must now strengthen and expand the rule, but taking a moment to appreciate how far we've come.
#EV adoption is at a critical point. But strong targets are needed to speed up the transition to 100% pollution-free vehicles. @GavinNewsom, @AirResources, what will you say at #COP26 when we are being outdone across the globe? We've got to move faster. wri.org/insights/what-projec…

Tax credits, consumer rebates, and strong labor standards will ensure the transition to clean vehicles is a win for both workers AND our climate. @amprog founder @johnpodesta & @UAW president Ray Curry explain: #BuildBackBetter newsweek.com/green-cars-futu…
The strongest possible #cleanercars standards approved by @NHTSAgov would spur more innovation in American manufacturing, creating good, well-paying union jobs making auto parts and equipment for cars and trucks throughout the Midwest and South.

Getting ready to tell @EPA why @cleanairmoms want #cleanercars at tomorrow's public hearing on the agency's proposed clean car standards.

Vehicle pollution disproportionately impacts low-wealth and BIPOC communities, leading to higher rates of asthma & other respiratory challenges. We need the strongest possible #CleanerCars standards from @EPA NOW, b/c #CleanerCars = Environmental Justice

Since @EPA is hearing from CEI representatives right now, a reminder to the general public that @ceidotorg is a climate denial group largely funded by ExxonMobil.
Perhaps they aren't the best experts on regulating pollution? #CleanerCars 🤷🏻♀️👇🏼
