Data centers are the next great industrial revolution. Supporting their growth and our expanding economy requires abundant, reliable and affordable energy. Before building costly new infrastructure, the fastest way to add power and improve grid reliability is to strengthen the infrastructure we already have. Secretary Wright understands that, and I thank him for his continued support of Texas’ energy future.
Unfortunately, persistent misinformation has distorted the debate over data centers, sensationalizing the challenges while ignoring practical solutions. The energy solution is straightforward: require data center developers to invest in their own reliable power, including natural gas and nuclear, rather than shifting the burden to ratepayers. Done right, we can protect Texas families, keep electricity costs in check and strengthen grid reliability.
The people of Texas deserve a real voice in what gets built in their neighborhoods. Data centers won’t be a fit for every area, but not every Texas town wants to turn away billions of dollars in private investment. As we develop a Texas plan for responsible data center regulation this session, we must avoid broad policies that strip local communities of the right to decide their own future.
It was an honor to speak with @jayobtv of @ABCNews this morning about the heated debate over data centers in Texas.
With a Texas plan that ensures data centers are good neighbors and responsible stewards of our water and power, we can keep Texas the tip of the spear of America’s technological innovation and economic prosperity.
Someone willing to say anything to get your vote will sell their soul to keep their power. #txlege
Roughly 80% of the world’s solar panel supply chain is concentrated in Communist China. Meanwhile, the industry receives billions in taxpayer-funded subsidies.
Why are American taxpayers funding infrastructure that leaves us dependent on our foreign adversaries? American tax dollars should strengthen American energy security, not deepen our reliance on Beijing.

I’m grateful for Congressman Brandon Gill's support and our shared commitment to conservative values, making America healthy again, and protecting the Texas way of life.
Together, we’re working to build a stronger, healthier future for Texas!
DO NOT WAIT TO VOTE.
Get out and make plans to vote this week. Early voting runs until Oct. 30.
Get out and help us fight for Texas. Vote RED down the entire ballot.
This is incredible news and a great start. When the cost of hesitation exceeds the cost of preparation, common sense says we act now to protect vital energy infrastructure from cyber threats. We must invest, test, monitor, and strengthen our defenses now, before adversaries like Communist China or Iran exploit a weakness and disrupt America's energy security.

James Talarico says we should look to Western Europe for inspiration.
Take a look at Paris.
Europe has committed cultural suicide. We will not let that happen to Texas or America.
Get out and vote.
May 2025: Texas voted to block hostile foreign regimes like Communist China from buying Texas land. Jon Rosenthal voted NO. James Talarico voted NO. Vikki Goodwin voted NO. Gina Hinojosa voted NO. Texas land belongs to Texans. Vote early, Republican all the way down the ballot.
Texas must lead the next industrial revolution, not turn away from it. I support responsible data center growth that brings billions in private investment, strengthens rural communities, and advances American AI leadership.

The current Railroad Commissioner Wayne Christian urges Texans to vote Republican. @bofrench for RR Commissioner!
The entire climate-scam risk firm industry is a grift built on manufactured fear.
There is still more than a week of early voting left. DO NOT wait until Election Day!!
Help fight to keep Texas RED.
Communist China dominates the vast majority of global solar manufacturing. Texas accounts for 40% of planned U.S. utility-scale solar additions in 2026, while solar and battery storage make up a large share of ERCOT’s proposed projects.
Every dollar spent on these solar projects in Texas is a sizable investment in Communist China. Energy infrastructure investment must strengthen Texas' energy security, not deepen our dependence on foreign adversaries.
