I saw a tweet about how Yaba used to be a beautiful city.
That is the fate of every city in Lagos as soon as the rich starts moving. Whether it is Yaba or Isale Eko.
The rich keep moving closer and closer into the Atlantic Ocean and every good thing moves with them.

Places like the picture on the left can only be built from scratch. There’s nowhere in the world where places like this transforms except if a real estate acquires the whole village and rebuild it.
If I have a reason to vote in 2027, I will not be voting for President Tinubu for one reason and that is because of the kid-glove approach towards fighting fake products in Nigeria. It is no longer a fight that NAFDAC must be left alone to fight. Clearly, NAFDAC has proven to be overwhelmed and cannot fight the fight. NAFDAC is limited in resources, manpower and even by legislation.
By now, I expected the President to have declared a national state of emergency on fake products. Fake products manufacturers and sellers are targeting the people of Nigeria in their millions to kill them one by one, while still profiting from it in billions. If the President cannot declare a national emergency on them, he should proscribe them as terrorists and treat them as one, because that is who they are. Economic terrorists and human terrorists.
People spending their hard earned money to buy these products, will still have to spend to seek medical care and the unlucky ones die for no good reasons. Is it until these people eliminate all of us that he will act on it? Refusing to be aggressive and treat these criminals as who they are is really vexing me so bad. How about people’s businesses that they are also destroying?
