Five Unmarketable Facts About Asterius:
1. It’s a male-centric retelling of Greek mythology.
2. It’s narrated from the perspective of the 'monster'.
3. It encourages critical thinking and empathy.
4. It’s a book about men, written by a woman who doesn’t hate them.
5. Readers need a three-digit IQ to fully appreciate its depth.
Why not give it a try? 😉
P.S. You’ll also glimpse the beautiful madness of Timelessness.
Same goes for publishing.
The day will come. Soon.
Ah that's where you're confused. We'll still have games. They just will no longer be subverted and used as a vehicle for weird identity obsessed leftists to do their not so thinly veiled political activism.
And boy, it's going to be fucking glorious when that day comes. Remember: chuds were responsible for the success and inception of nearly every single western IP that you left-wing retards later took over and ruined.
Halo, Gears, Warcraft, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Minecraft, Starcraft, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Witcher, Baldur's Gate, Command & Conquer, Diablo, KOTOR, Runescape, Borderlands, Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Batman Arkham, Deus Ex, Uncharted, Hitman, God of War, Fallout, Age of Empires, Pillars, Divinity, Last of Us...
Every single fucking ONE was originally created by one, two, a small office, or a mid-sized team of predominantly straight, predominantly white nerds and dudebros, and all were originally designed to appeal to "the chuds."
The only reason you left-wing freaks managed to become such a nuisance in the hobby is because you used DEI to subvert merit and get your foot in the door of these companies, before declaring "no chuds allowed now. we now only hire our political allies."
And it's precisely *because* you refused to hire "the chuds," and exclusively recruited your left-wing allies, that virtually every franchise I mentioned was subverted, exploited, politicized, and ruined. You idiots can't name ONE legendary game or IP that was made by your "diverse and inclusive teams," because you lack the creativity and merit to even create your own. All you can do is take over and bastardize while piggybacking off other people's work.
It wasn't dumb. It was deliberate and evil.
Never forget those who so gleefully joined the pronouns police.
They haven't changed. They'll never change.
Yesterday was pronouns, tomorrow will be something else.
They don't care if it's dumb as long as the lives of those who uphold truth and merit are destroyed.
Gods, the state of the world is beyond depressing right now…
Here’s a pic from a forest walk a few weeks back to brighten your feed. :)
I was once told that portraying Loki as a father was wrong because it wasn't sexy.
This by an author who had characterised Loki as 'gender fluid' female.
Loki, the god of mischief, is the father of Jörmungandr, the world serpent, Fenrir, a giant wolf, and Hel, the goddess of the dead.
I think that's pretty 'sexy' in narrative terms.
And yet all that matters for some writers (readers too) is that he 'changed sex', fucked a stallion, and gave birth to an eight-legged horse.🙄
This is why I went indie.
Though, tbh, the freedom is at times "shallow."
You'd be amazed how often other indie authors will message each other saying things like, "Weird choice, bro," or "If it were my story I wouldn't have taken that path," or "You sure people reading that genre will be okay with that twist? Your call, I guess."
And I'm not talking solicited beta feedback and the like. These are pretty much word-for-word DMs for books after they've been published, addressing story elements others have enjoyed.
I've seen this in my own DMs as well as in unsolicited advice given to other authors in group chats and Discords (or screenshots baffled author friends have sent me).
In trad publishing, the barriers to wild story ideas are more overt: agents and editors get final say, and that's that. They think it's weird or won't sell, and you're done. Better luck next book.
In these parts, it's... conversational. "Stop doing this obscure trope I don't like" or "Stop trying to defy genre norms" in DMs, posts, and BookTube videos.
The gates are subtler, but they're there.
It'd be one thing if these were just comments in reviews. By all means, have at it in your reviews. An author can decide whether or not to read those.
But so often pushback comes in disapproving DMs with language implying (or stating outright) that "No author should ever try this. Why did you?"
It's important to consider all feedback, whenever and however it comes, but sometimes this community needs a reminder:
We don't need your permission to write these stories.
And that's the best damn part.
I stopped talking to people who don’t listen and listening to people who don’t think.
10/10 recommend.
Happy Friday everyone!
Another great video from Hilary Layne.
I had a similar realisation recently regarding the SF Masterworks series.
Read enough books and you’ll be able to tell the difference between a true classic and dumbed-down propaganda for “modern audiences.”
Also worth noting the importance of timelessness. ;)

I'm always grateful for every sale, but especially when it's a sequel.
It only gets better, I promise ;)
The reality of publishing dominated by nefarious ideologies and identity politics.
Self-publishing is even worse because we have to do our own marketing and distribution anyway, and they block you from every single option, few as they are.
What they did to me and my work is unforgivable.
I’ll never forget the comment from a piece of shit with the hashtag “be kind” on his bio. After they failed to cancel two popular authors because they had large platforms, he was bragging about how he’d successfully helped cancel many other smaller ones.
I was one of those smaller ones.
I'm still writing, but many are not.
The general public has no idea how many lives and livelihoods they destroyed.
How many brilliant ideas got burried, how many great stories will never reach their readers because all they want is to publish their fetishist marxist propaganda.
Had a great time at DAREcon last weekend!
Sold quite a few books. 😃
Spend it all on boardgames. 😂
It's a problem..
This is the reality of a genuine author in an industry destroyed by slop and identity politics.
I feel pretty done myself. No hope. No point...
Feeling a little better but still far from good, so I’m staying in bed.
And next time I pray for “rest,” I’ll need to be a hell of a lot more specific... 😒
A rare and wonderful review of Anamnesis! Check it out ;)
This month I finished the Timelessness series (bickering gods' clever schemes might destroy the universe) by Susana Imaginario. Overall my favorite character was Chronos/Xylo mostly from book 3.
A brief review of the final & fourth installment Anamnesis: josephpoopinski.com/2026/09/…
I'm sick in bed so here's some Ruinenlust from a few years back. Lackeen Castle.
Have a great Sunday :)
