An 84-year-old senator gets 92 days of paid recovery after 41 years of opposing paid leave for new mothers. 92 days for him. Zero guaranteed for them. That’s not leadership. That’s hypocrisy.

Why did the flight manifest list Flavio Bolsonaro as an Italian National and not Brazilian meaning that he just immigrated to the United States with falsified documents. Where is ICE ? Didn’t Ron DeSantis say that Florida wouldn’t become a Sanctuary State. Maralago bound.

I always love an eloquent tweet!
Even if it turns out that the Dems were all trading oral sex and state secrets for crack in the back seat of a stolen Subaru in a 7-11 parking lot in the Middle East that doubles as an illegal abortion clinic....I would still vote for them over any Republican running this cycle.

In the middle of World War Two, German soldiers in southeastern Poland started avoiding a cluster of villages. They wouldn't go in. They wouldn't take people out for forced labor. They put up warning signs and stayed away. They believed the area was infected with typhus. It wasn't. Two doctors had invented the whole thing. The man behind it was Eugene Lazowski, a young Polish doctor working for the Red Cross in the town of Rozwadów. He was watching the Nazi occupation tear his country apart. Executions. Deportations. People shipped off to labor camps, many never coming back. He wanted to stop it. He had no weapons, no army, and no way to fight. What he had was medicine. His friend and fellow doctor, Stanisław Matulewicz, had discovered something strange. If you injected a person with a harmless, dead strain of a certain bacteria, their blood would test positive for typhus. They wouldn't be sick at all. But on paper, they'd look like they had one of the most feared diseases of the war. And the Germans were terrified of typhus. It spread fast, it killed, and it could tear through an army. When the Germans found it, they quarantined the area and kept their distance. Lazowski realized what that meant. If he could make enough people look infected, the Germans would leave the whole region alone. So he started injecting his patients. He chose carefully. He sent the blood samples to German labs for testing, exactly as the rules required. The results came back positive. Again and again. The Germans declared an epidemic zone. Villages were quarantined. Soldiers kept out. People who would have been seized for forced labor or worse were left alone, because nobody wanted to go near them. Lazowski had to be careful. If too many cases looked fake, someone would ask why nobody was dying. So he spread out the injections over time and kept the outbreak believable. Eventually the Germans did get suspicious. They sent a team of doctors to inspect. Lazowski met them with food and vodka and played the gracious host. He guided them toward the sickest looking, dirtiest patients he could find, in the most crowded rooms. The German doctors, worried about catching typhus themselves, took a few samples and left in a hurry. The tests came back positive. The fake epidemic lasted until the end of the war. Estimates say it may have protected around 8,000 people. Lazowski also secretly helped Jews from the nearby ghetto, giving them medical care at enormous risk. After the war he moved to the United States and became a professor of pediatrics in Chicago. For decades he barely talked about what he'd done. Late in life he finally wrote a memoir. He called it My Private War. He died in 2006. He never fired a shot. He beat the Nazis with a needle and a lab test.

This was filmed at Animal Shelter in Springfield, Illinois on a Tuesday afternoon. The man is Glen, 50 years old. A high school shop teacher from the north side of Springfield. He came to Animal Shelter on his lunch break because his daughter had been asking him for months to at least go and look. He told himself he was just browsing. Just getting it out of the way so he could honestly tell her he had tried. Glen spent about twenty minutes in one of the meet rooms with a three-year-old brown mixed breed named Hector. Hector had been at Animal Shelter for seven months. He had been returned to the shelter twice. The notes in his file said he was too attached. Followed people too closely. Didn't do well with being lett alone. Glen sat on the floor with Hector. Let the dog climb into his lap. Scratched his ears. It was pleasant. Normal. The kind of interaction Glen figured would happen. Then Glen stood up to leave. Hector went straight up with him. Not barking. Not jumping in the usual sense. He climbed. Both front legs wrapped around Glen's midsection. Face pressed hard into Glen's chest. Completely quiet. Just holding on. Glen stumbled back a half step. Looked down. Hector looked up at him. The shelter hallway went completely quiet. The staff member near the door told us she stopped moving. Glen tried to lower Hector gently. Hector pressed in harder. Glen stood there for a long moment. Then something in him changed. His shoulders dropped. He sat back down on the floor with Hector still attached to him, both of them landing together. Glen held the dog for a long time without saying anything. Eventually he looked up at the staff member and said: "What do I need to fill out?" He adopted Hector that afternoon. Glen's daughter called the shelter two days later, laughing and crying at the same time. She said her dad, who had said for years he wasn't a dog person, was now sleeping on the couch with Hector on his chest because he didn't want to wake him up by moving. The shelter coordinator told us: "Hector gets called too attached in every return note. But Glen didn't see a problem. He saw a dog who needed someone to stay. And he stayed.

Hey @realDonaldTrump @GOP Spare us your fake outrage, whiners.
Republicans are furious about a "decoy" Dan Sullivan on Alaska's ballot. Fair enough. Now do Miami, 2020. A GOP operative paid a guy named Rodriguez to run against a Democrat named Rodriguez. The Republican won by 32 votes. The operative got convicted. The Republican kept the seat. Nobody at DOJ sued to block that one.

So now Trump is importing criminals.
ICE and Border Patrol protect Flávio Bolsonaro, using umbrellas to shield him from being photographed. Trump’s government beats and shoots ordinary working-class people but gives special protection to international criminals tied to money laundering and human trafficking.

Some ask why I’m posting so much about Flavio Bolsonaro, but the answer is simple: Trump says we have no money for *our* health care, but can pay for this THUG to jet-set around our country with *our* money. You see that private jet? It’s a middle finger to every American that’s feeling these high prices right now because REPUBLICANS raised them. The government always tells you they have no money for your life, but can roll out the red carpet for a criminal illegal alien who is being investigated for money laundering in his own country. His family gets to live the movie star life, while the Republicans protecting him raise your prices to benefit the elites funding their campaigns. It’s disgraceful. Flavio needs to become a national American symbol for the right’s contempt for us, the American taxpayer. Deport Flavio! Have the last laugh and give them all the finger on Election Day!

BREAKING: LOL! President Obama brutally MOCKS Trump for melting down over his Cheesecake Factory joke and then goes right for the jugular. He really is the best to ever do it... "That was the interesting thing about how the administration responded to the speech I gave the other day. They did not dispute what I said about them being directly responsible for rising prices. They did not argue with that," Obama said at a rally in Georgia for Senator Jon Ossoff. "They did not deny tariffs were contributing to higher costs for families. They didn't say anything about that. I accused this administration, based on the facts, that they were engaging in unprecedented levels of corruption!" he continued. "They didn't say anything about that." "The President wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison. That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments," Obama said with a grin. "He took great umbrage. He said, I didn't understand the work of the artisans in the White House." "And they mobilized, this was, I mean, it's all crazy, but this was the really crazy part. They mobilized a whole-of-government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke!" he went on. "The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy," Obama continued. "The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation and reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory." "No, y'all didn't see this? This really happened!" said an incredulous Obama. "And the Treasury Secretary, he happens to be a former hedge fund manager worth half a billion dollars, and he was out there in front of the Cheesecake Factory, explaining how he ordered the delicious French dip cheeseburger instead of the egg rolls." "Now, look, this is not something I ever thought of," he added. "Like, I inherited this major financial crisis. I never called my Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner, said, man, you got to go to Arby's. Order roast beef." Trump's deranged response to the original joke has served as a potent reminder of just how little he actually cares about the American people. We are suffering from the economic fallout from his tariffs and failed Iran War, gas prices are spiraling out of control, and rather than address these multiplying crises, Trump would rather attack Obama and whine about a harmless joke. "This is what I mean when I say these are not serious people," added Obama. "They don't have solutions to actual problems, so they'd rather have the media and you talking about the Cheesecake Factory. That's the game they've been playing for the last two years. Just keep throwing distractions out there, attacks, fabrications, phony outrage, and hope that you won't notice that your bills are higher and your life is tougher." "Except that okie-doke will not work this time, Atlanta," said the former President. "Because you know your prices are still up. Because you pay your utility bills, you've seen what those are like. You know it's still hard to pay rent and pay for child care and pay for health insurance. "And you know we need serious people who are listening to your concerns, who see you and care about you and have real plans to make your life better. People like Jon Ossoff, people like Keisha Lance Bottoms!" roared Obama. Please ❤️ and share if you can't wait to see Trump melt down over these new remarks!

This man really woke up, heard Obama make a Cheesecake Factory joke, and decided that was the moment to deliver his State of the Union of Hurt Feelings. The way he said it — all puffed‑up indignation and wounded‑mall‑food‑court pride — you’d think Obama personally shut down every cheesecake slicer in America. Trump always picks the wildest hills to die on. Not democracy, not policy, not anything remotely presidential — no, he’s out here defending the honor of a chain restaurant like it’s a NATO ally. He talks about Cheesecake Factory the way some people talk about their childhood home: trembling voice, deep emotional stakes, a sense of betrayal that absolutely does not match the situation. And the kicker? He says it like he’s delivering a devastating political critique, when really it sounds like a Yelp review written during a tantrum. Obama makes one joke and Trump responds like he’s filing a grievance with HR for “culinary disrespect.” It’s incredible. It’s operatic. It’s a man who cannot let anything go, especially if it involves a menu with 47 pages. Honestly, if this keeps up, we’re two news cycles away from him demanding Congress establish a Department of Cheesecake Security.
