"Granting Moscow the ability to freely sell Russian diesel in global markets damages America’s security interests and is a betrayal of the people of Ukraine, who are defending themselves against Russia’s murderous, illegal war," the lawmakers wrote.   🔗 foreign.senate.gov/press/dem…
Top lawmakers (Democrats and one outgoing GOP Senator) are warning CEOs the Russian diesel deal isn't just a bad idea - it's radioactive. In a letter to big banks, fuel distributors & ports, lawmakers say letting Russia freely sell diesel is a "betrayal" of the Ukrainian people

Last I checked, the ballistic missile launchers inside Russia aren’t being used to deliver humanitarian aid. In case that was unclear. Yes, Starlink has done more for Ukraine than any other private company. @elonmusk deserves credit for that. But he should also let it operate within the parameters of his own policy of self-defense.   Enable Starlink over Russia so Ukraine can target the mobile ballistic missile launchers being used to kill innocent civilians. That's a legitimate defensive mission. It's also exactly the kind of pressure Putin needs to feel if we're ever going to get a serious peace deal.   Not doing it *is in fact prolonging this war.* Not the other way around. Putin keeps going because he can, and because he’s f***ing crazy. Ending this war means establishing the right leverage.

I wouldn’t want to be the Greek shipowner who’s transporting the Russian diesel to the US right now. Only congress has the authority to lift sanctions (regardless of Trump’s executive order) and this shipowner is in a potential world of legal problems in the future if he unloads the oil in the US.
NEW!! In a letter to the head of shipping firm EASTMED, Sen. Blumenthal demands a tanker carrying nearly 40,000 metric tons of Russian diesel reverse course before reaching New York/New Jersey, warning the shipment could violate U.S. law. He also demands answers by Oct. 31 👇

I’m sending a sledgehammer message to shipping companies whose tankers are transporting illegal Russian diesel to our ports. Reverse course while there’s still time.

Trump's Department of Defense allowed an oligarch to throttle critical communications that Ukraine relies on to defend against Russian attacks. We need a full investigation, accountability, and consequences.

Steadfast support for Ukraine is more critical than ever.   That is why I sent a letter to President Trump urging him to fully implement the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, provide unthrottled access to Starlink defense capabilities, and authorize Ukrainian licensure to manufacture Patriot interceptor missiles.

Much Truth. President Trump is supporting the wrong side. After the mid-Term Elections he will truly be a lame duck.
Damn, Mitch! 💪 Quotes below: Trump misunderstands facts that American voters understand well factually wrong, strategically naive and morally bankrupt obsequious accommodation of Russia Putin is America’s enemy Americans, including most Republicans, understand this. They know America’s strategic interests are aligned with Kyiv’s. Putin is many things, but he is no humanitarian Russian victory would have far worse consequences for our economic and national security and our global influence than temporarily high diesel prices. The strategic incoherence extends beyond Ukraine. The Pentagon has undercut NATO allies The Pentagon officials involved in restricting U.S. assistance to Ukraine should explain how abandoning the “Silicon Valley of warfare” and the world’s experts in battlefield drone innovation will help America achieve drone dominance. Next, they should explain why the president blames Ukraine for the U.S. military’s shortage of Tomahawk cruise missiles, even though we haven’t provided any to Ukraine. Senate Republicans oppose retreat and appeasement and favor a strong defense. They support Ukraine. They support NATO. They understand Russia, China, North Korea and Iran are enemies. And they want the president to work with Congress to restore American primacy. wsj.com/opinion/coddling-put…

2/ Russian forces have made effectively zero net gains in 2026 at the cost of over 40,000 casualties per month since July and around 458 casualties for every square kilometer of territory that Russian forces lost.

If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

I'd appreciate it if @elonmusk stopped shadowbanning everyone he disagrees with. I earned a blue check under Twitter and got more than 50K followers. Since Musk took over, I've paid his monthly feel but I've gained virtually no followers and Musk's algorithms ensure that I get almost no traffic.
Replying to @IAPonomarenko
@IAPonomarenko I've written two books about Trump and Russia(House of Trump, House of Putin and American Kompromat) and it goes back to 1980 when Russia first began to cultivate him. They own him. He was a stupendously bad businessman and they bailed him out again and again--over decades.

There has been a large clash between Russian and Ukrainian special forces in 5th Selishche district of Kherson city after Russian Spetsnaz crossed two groups of soldiers across the Dnipro river. Ukraine deployed their own special units and killed and captured both groups.

Elon Musk is having a total meltdown, just lying his ass off in the most ridiculous ways imaginable about Ukraine today. Absurd and crazy Russian propaganda, one after another. What else from the biggest welfare recipient and immigration fraudster ever in our history?

Despicable!!!
JUST IN - Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a "military-grade version" of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, the WSJ says.

a beautiful thing to see
Overnight, Ukrainian attack drones successfully hit the Nikolskoye LPDS, a major fuel pumping and storage hub in Russia’s Tambov region, setting it ablaze.

I spoke with Marco Rubio @SecRubio, and it was a substantive conversation – focused on the issues that matter. I am grateful for his readiness to help and his clear position. First, ballistic missile interceptors, which are needed to protect lives. Second, early warning of Russian ballistic missile attacks, which is vital. Third, the situation with Starlink/Starshield, which needs to be restored. Of course, all of this comes against the backdrop of our diplomatic efforts to end this horrific war and the constant killing of people. We agreed to get in touch again soon for an update. Thank you, Marco, for the constructive discussion! Thank you to everyone in America who supports fair approaches!

President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed. Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration. A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Very true. This Nation needs to support the people of Ukraine against this diabolic invader.
“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.
