Cases of #COVID19 in Kansas are going up. With the colder temperatures & upcoming holidays, let's all work to #MaskUpKansas. Why do you wear a mask? A loved one? To keep your business open & employees well? To protect those with compromised immune systems? @KansasCounties #ksleg

How important is the census? These programs will be at stake without federal funding: parks, literacy programs, schools, health clinics, job training, senior services, affordable housing, fire stations, veterans programs, and community centers. #KansasCounts #2020Census

Looking good Kansas - but we still need nearly 20% of our state to respond to the #2020Census at my2020census.gov/ or by calling 844-330-2020.

The census touches every life, every day. Did you know there are 3 ways to take the census?
1.) Online: my2020cenus.gov.
2.) Phone: 844-330-2020 (Spanish: 844-468-2020)
3.) Mail: Send your paper census, if received.

Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. To reduce risk during outdoor work, @OSHA_DOL recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Call 911 for heat stroke!
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles, under any circumstances. Take extra precautions if you work or are outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke!
A heat advisory is in effect from 1 to 7 p.m. today, according to @NWSWichita. Heat index values of up to 105 degrees are expected across much of eastern Kansas, including Cowley County. Hot temperatures and high humidity might cause heat-related illnesses to occur.
