A special birthday tribute from the IT students of the University of Ilesa @UNILESAOfficial
In celebration of our Team Lead, @CivictechG the students took out time to put together a beautiful video to appreciate and celebrate a man whose leadership and impact continue to inspire those around him.
It was a thoughtful gesture, a show of love, and a reminder that good leadership leaves lasting impressions.

Thanks team 🙌🏻
Today, we celebrate a man whose vision, dedication, and commitment continue to make a lasting difference.
Happy Birthday to our Founder and Team Lead, @CivictechG
Your passion for civic engagement, innovation, and community development speaks volumes. Through your leadership, you have continued to inspire people to think beyond themselves, embrace new possibilities, and use technology as a tool for meaningful change.
It is a new month and a new year. A day the calendar resets, and the anniversary of my first breath on planet Earth.
In this new year, I choose peace over worry, kindness over judgment, prosperity in all its forms, and joy that does not depend on perfect circumstances. I choose to move forward with an open heart, to release what no longer serves me, and to welcome what is meant for me.
🎈🎂🎊

More blessings on us all.
Dear Anthony Adejuwon @CivictechG , happy birthday!
You have a blessed new year. Amen
Yesterday, our interns from the Department of Public Health, @UNILESAOfficial, caught me off guard 😁. It’s the last day of their internship, and they surprised me with this.
Over the past few weeks, these guys have shown great innovation, and this has taught me that our society can be better when young people are given the opportunity to be creative and results-driven. They’ve led market campaigns for safe water as mining activities intensify in the Southwest and championed AI literacy in some schools and other learning environments.
The team and I at @UrbanAlert will be happy to have them again.

Our interns from the University of Ilesa (UniIlesha), took AI awareness and education to the classroom through an engaging sensitization exercise focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy.
Under the theme “Know It, Use It, Grow With It,” the initiative aimed to introduce learners to the world of AI, promote a better understanding of how artificial intelligence works, and encourage its responsible and productive use in everyday life.

Yesterday, our interns from the University Of Ilesa (UniIlesa) embarked on a sensitization exercise to educate members of the public on the impacts of mining activities on water supply, mining chemicals, and public health.
Together, we can build a more informed community where environmental sustainability and public health go hand in hand.

Mining may bring economic benefits, but at what cost to our health and environment?
From polluted water and contaminated soil to air pollution and the destruction of our natural habitats, the consequences can be devastating.
It’s time to raise awareness, demand responsible mining, and protect our communities and future generations.

Anthony Adejuwon left consulting to build technology that makes Nigeria’s mining data easier to access, helping businesses, investors, and industry stakeholders make better decisions.

In 2014, I founded a for-profit company focused on helping people realise their ideas in the built environment. In 2020, I made a deliberate transition to establish a nonprofit organisation, driven by a desire to align my work more closely with my values.
That amounted to six years of running a for-profit company and another six years of running a nonprofit. Overall, l am pleased to lead this work and remain committed to addressing the parts of our society that need improvement.

@TechCabal spoke with our team about Minetrix AI, the tool we spent months building so communities, journalists and researchers can put those questions in plain language, including Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, and get answers tied to public records on minerals and mining.
We believe that solid minerals like gold and lithium can change the economy and open prosperity doors for communities. That’s why we are bridging the information opacity gap with Minetrix AI.

The level of lies being pushed by the authorities is disheartening. For the families, this is double pain.
How will the people trust the government when they pass through this agony, and the government turns to say no ransom was paid.
The family of one of the 20 abducted NYSC members says it borrowed money and sought donations to raise ₦6 million to pay a ransom. The family has disputed claims that the corps members were released without payment, citing the cost of securing their child’s freedom. @MbadikeVictor14 reports.
