Football without fans is nothing. Our loyalty goes back generations in most cases & new fans join every season. Then why are we continually being taken advantage of? All fans must unite and make a stand against greed. Solidarity!⚒️ @THSTOfficial @Villa_Trust
West Ham stand with Spurs on this. (We know, we know, but this is important for all fans) so solidarity is needed.

“We’re disappointed — we did not start the way we wanted and we conceded.” West Ham have conceded first in eight of their 15 fixtures. West Ham’s biggest problem all season has been slow starts. Nuno has to do more than plead. #WHUFC nytimes.com/athletic/7722177…

The price tag for the London Stadium has reportedly been set at £50million. 💷 West Ham currently pays just £2.5m in annual rent, while the stadium reportedly makes annual losses of £19m. It is not thought that the club have made an offer to purchase the stadium as of yet.

This is tragic and hilarious in equal measure. We asked hard questions about the set up at West Ham under the part time CEO Brady and under the full time chairmanship and clownshow recruitment specialist David Sullivan. The brass neck is incredible hammers.news/news/karren-bra…

When Harry Redknapp arranged to spend a day with Bobby Moore in 1993, he knew his old West Ham teammate was seriously ill. Moore was staying at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth, and the two had arranged to visit David Elsworth’s racing stables before going out for lunch. They had known each other for years, going right back to their playing days at West Ham, where Moore had captained England to the World Cup and established himself as one of the greatest defenders the country had ever produced. But when Redknapp arrived at the hotel to collect him, he could hardly believe what he was seeing. “I went to pick him up and when he came out I could have cried.” “He always had big, tree-trunk legs, but there was nothing of him, he was wasting away.” Redknapp had to pull himself together before they went out. It was particularly difficult for him because he had already spent years watching Moore struggle to find his place in football after retiring. In 1984, Redknapp had helped him get the manager’s job at Southend United, believing somebody of his ability deserved a chance. But things had not worked out, and Moore never got another opportunity to establish himself as a league manager. Redknapp remembered one freezing cold evening at Grimsby, when he spotted Moore sitting at the back of the stand eating fish and chips. England’s World Cup-winning captain was wearing a big hat to keep warm, earning £100 doing radio commentary. “All right, Bob?” “All right, H, yeah.” Redknapp walked away wondering how somebody who had achieved so much in football could have been left in that position. He had even spoken to the directors at West Ham about finding Moore a role at the club, but nothing ever came of it. And now, in 1993, his old friend was fighting cancer. They spent the day watching the racehorses working at David Elsworth’s yard before going out for lunch at a little fish restaurant. Moore was desperately ill by this point, and everyone close to him knew what was happening. But throughout the entire day, he never spoke about how ill he was. He did not complain about his condition or ask why it had happened to him. For Redknapp, it was exactly the sort of man he had always known. Someone who carried himself with dignity, even when things were going terribly wrong. That was the last time he ever saw him. Bobby Moore sadly passed away on the 24th of February 1993, aged just 51. After his death, West Ham began discussing plans to name a stand after him. Redknapp was furious. “When he was alive, you didn’t even give him a ticket, now you want to name a f****** stand after him?” He believed Moore should have been given a position at the club years earlier, rather than being celebrated only after he had gone. “He should have been sitting next to you every game.” “He should have been the figurehead of this f****** club.” But it was that final day together in Bournemouth that stayed with him. Even with his health deteriorating, Moore had spent the day with his old friend without once complaining about what was happening to him. “I knew the problem, we all did, but he never complained, never moaned, never said, why me?” “So I’ll say it instead: why him, for God’s sake?” #football

When Dylan Tombides found a lump, he was still a teenager trying to make his way at West Ham. He went to a local doctor and was told it was a benign cyst. He was 17, living away from home, trying to become a footballer, and the last thing on his mind was cancer. “All I was thinking about was getting in the West Ham team and taking my driving test.” Then he went away with Australia to the Under-17 World Cup in Mexico. After the last game, he was selected for a random drugs test. The result came back with two possibilities. He had either taken a banned substance, or there was a tumour in his body. Sadly, Dylan knew which one it was. He came back to England on the Thursday, on the Friday, West Ham arranged the scan. By the Monday, he had his testicle removed.l and then by the weekend, he had started chemotherapy. His mum Tracy tried to give him something to hold on to. “I believe you’re going to be a cancer patient for a very short time, but you’ll be a professional athlete for a long, long time.” So Dylan treated it exactly like that. He dealt with the treatment when he had to, but whenever his body allowed him, he went back to being a footballer. He kept going into training, trying to build himself back up. And inside West Ham, people could not believe what they were seeing. Carlton Cole later said nobody at the club really knew what to do with it at first. “It was a difficult situation, especially for someone so young, but the boy just kept on going.” Dylan was going through something most people could not imagine, but around the club he was still smiling, still training, still trying to get closer to the first team. Then, on the 25th of September 2012, Sam Allardyce gave him that moment. West Ham were playing Wigan in the League Cup at Upton Park. At just 18 years old, Dylan came on for his debut with six minutes left. Just over a year earlier, he had been told he had cancer. Allardyce never forgot it. “He was one of the bravest characters I have ever met.” “Football was his life, and he didn’t miss a day’s training even when he wasn’t fit enough to train because of his treatment.” By December, he was back on high-dose chemotherapy. He needed stem-cell transplants. Then in January 2014, after everything his body had already been through, he still went to play for Australia at the AFC Under-22 Championship. Four games in eight days. When he returned to England, he was told the treatment was no longer working. Dylan sadly passed away on the 18th of April 2014. He was just 20 years old. The next day, West Ham played Crystal Palace at Upton Park. His dad Jim and his brother Taylor walked out and laid his number 38 shirt on the centre spot. West Ham then retired the number. The only previous West Ham player to receive that honour was Bobby Moore. RIP Dylan Tombides❤️
