I went the alt cert route through @TeachKentucky and @UofLCEHD partially because I couldn’t afford to take on the debt to pay for grad school and student teaching while paying to live. Grateful for that opportunity, but recognize it’s not right for everyone and free labor is 🙄
Nice piece on WLKY sharing Teach Kentucky’s contribution to address teacher shortage. Glad to have new agreement to help recruit more teachers in the future. Brought over 30 new teachers this year from 19 different states.
