Laura is a serial abuser, a pathological liar, and a sadistic and manipulative con artist who tries to destroy anyone who rejects her or says no to her. She has plenty of non-romantic victims too. @DNealz and all the other content creators she attempted to silence; lawyer Gregg Woodnick, who was falsely accused of "orchestrating" her fake rape in 2022, as well as all the lawyers she tried to get disbarred through frivolous bar complaints. Even friends Laura once had received her smears and abuse.
There is a reason only her disturbing mother, father, and ex-lawyer David Gingras spoke on her behalf. She has no other support (other than her accomplice sister Sarah).

Judge Jeffrey Rueter sentenced Laura on Friday in Maricopa County to 30 days of flat jail time and seven years of supervised probation on the Echard fraud count. The terms she signed also carry a 12-month deferred jail term that starts October 22, 2027 if she slips, a no-contact order with every victim, and a condition that she get written approval from her probation officer before she accesses the internet. The State asked for a year in jail, ten years of probation and 400 hours of community service. @ClaytonEchard asked for prison. The judge said the case came down to whether she is “a sophisticated, conniving, calculating shakedown artist” or a “very sad individual making some poor choices,” and he picked the second one.

While in the courtroom, I noticed that Laura Owens didn’t seem to be paying close attention during some of Clayton Echard’s victim impact statement at sentencing. While looking back at the feed last night, I noticed the camera caught that she had her attorney pull up Clayton’s “Off The Vine” interview with @kaitlynbristowe that aired THE DAY PRIOR while Clayton was speaking. To me, that feels like a lack of consideration for Clayton’s pain and more interest in making excuses. Victims are allowed to speak to media. There was nothing there that should’ve mattered more than what Clayton was saying in that moment. He deserved a direct apology.
In the Presentence Investigation Report, Chief Probation Officer Michael P. Cimino recommended incarceration for #LauraMichelleOwens after presenting detailed evidence of her lies, scams, and abuse of the court system against multiple victims.

It is respectfully recommended that the defendant be committed to the Department of Corrections/Arizona State Prison for the term less than presumptive
