Notice: A prescribed fire will occur starting today in the Mount Laguna area near Thing Valley Rd and Sunrise Hwy. We plan to burn 21 acres of piled vegetation throughout the week. Smoke may be visible from Sunrise Hwy and the I-8.

#SweetwaterFire is on the eastbound side of Interstate 8 between the Sweetwater River and Hwy 79/Japatul Valley Rd. Fire is still holding at 8 acres. We are being assisted by multiple agencies including @CALFIRESANDIEGO @AlpineFireDist @LakesideFire #ViejasFireDept
