Here's to all the amazing groups on the Resilience Web working to help us imagine a tomorrow that's better than today, especially @ClimateMuseumUK who (along with @NorwichEcoHub) have worked on the Possitopia project that inspired this week's #SunggestionBox 🌳

Wherever there is climate protest, governments have been launching authoritarian legal crackdowns And in both the UK and USA oil companies have been behind it Our rights - and futures - are being sold out for oil company profits theguardian.com/us-news/2024…

Climate chaos is coming for us. Some places face bigger risks than others, but no matter where we live, we're gonna struggle to adapt to events like nothing we've seen before. I'm a climate futurist. Let me level with you about what this means. 🧵 (Img:OldMarshallJailHotel)

This is our mission, along with @CultureDeclares We engage people to get active beyond decarbonisation to grasp systemic causes, unjust & intersecting impacts, & tactics for resilience & radical change. #BePossitopian #CultureTakesAction #EarthTalk @EverydayEcocide
What we need now is a powerful cultural movement to portray and evoke — in imaginative ways and in every community — the coming impacts of climate chaos. We should be making discontinuity legible on the landscapes around us.

Sympathy with anyone whose journey is disrupted by flooding today This is what climate activists have been trying to prevent Don't let the media tell you we are the enemy Your enemy is the people endangering your future by saying that everything's ok

Shock to the system 🥶 Unusually strong cold is pouring south out of the Arctic into Europe right now. This is an ideal setup for deep fresh snow accumulations in the Alps and flooding in Central Europe. This is about as cold as it gets this early in September.

Please remember the rule, folks: Some summers are hotter than others, but every summer is now warmer than if the same weather patterns happened decades ago. The summer of 2024 was still warmer than the vast majority of the summers of Julia's childhood.
Please remember the rule, folks: Coolest UK summer - it's due to climate change Hottest UK summer - it's due to climate change Driest UK summer - it's due to climate change Wettest UK summer - it's due to climate change Average UK summer - it's due to climate change
