October 10, 2015: Wake Forest beats BC 3-0. Watch this highlight to witness collective ineptitude the likes we may never see again. Interceptions fumbles, missed FGs, awful clock management. This game has it.

I don’t dislike your data, Chris. I never even challenged it. I joked that based on your posts Wake might as well give up 50. Multiple exchanges later, you’ve somehow arrived at “you just don’t like the data.”

My friend, whether each caveat is individually defensible isn’t my point. It’s that every favorable Wake stat presented to you has produced a caveat, qualification or rebuttal. You can explain why each time, but at some point you’re just proving the pattern I was joking about.

You keep narrowing this to my replies. I’m talking about the pattern. Wake 4th in adjusted YPP? You asked for the source, then dismissed it. Favorable EPA? “Unadjusted.” You say you’re not disputing everything, but every favorable Wake stat seems to come with an asterisk.

Fair, “disputed” was too broad. The pattern is that favorable Wake stats get a qualifier: SRS is abysmal, EPA is unadjusted, etc. Unfavorable Wake stats get posted as evidence. “Each team has their favored stat” basically makes my point.

Roses are red Violets are blue Something, something NC St smells like poo
A Demon. A Deacon. A top hat. A cane. That’s not a mascot. That’s spiritual pain. You dropped fifty-seven, now you think you’re elite. Stanford brought a book club. This week brings the heat. Gio can scramble, Hernandez can streak, They’ll meet a red front that ruins their week. Sixty-one wins, and we’re not through. One more Saturday will make sixty-two.

For example: opponent-adjusted yards/play favors Wake, you dismiss the adjustment. EPA/drive favors Wake, you emphasize it’s unadjusted. Raw defensive rankings hurt Wake, suddenly those are worth posting. That’s the pattern I’m making fun of, Chris.

Chris, the point is you’ve disputed basically every stat favorable to Wake while presenting the unfavorable ones as meaningful. I’m making fun of the pattern, not claiming your defensive rankings literally project 50 points. Maybe take more time to understand the tweet.

Based on all of the analytics done here by Chris, Wake will give up 50 to NC State I haven’t seen a single stat that says Wake can even win this game, Chris has disputed every statistic on Twitter revolving around this game. Clearly Chris knows ball.
NC State and Wake Forest have one game to compare to, and as an FYI these numbers David has provided are unadjusted EPA’s. Wake vs Louisville had a 0.436 EPA/drive NC State vs Louisville had 0.733 EPA/Drive
