We believe in our program that trust is built thru repeated experiences of your behaviors displayed over time in 3 categories: Character; Competence; Connection. On the eve of our first Spring Ball practice — his very first as Head Coach, Coach Scalley shared a monumental moment with our family and friends in Orem as my nephew Aisa Galeai opened his LDS mission call, and he found out he’s being called to serve in Kingston, Jamaica. I had to be there (Aisa’s my sister’s son), but Morgan did not; however, he has built such a super strong relationship of trust with Aisa (and frankly many others over the years) that these players feel a deep sense of connection with him. Aisa asked him to share this moment with him and Coach Scalley obliged. My wife caught this moment between these two Utah Men; Coach Scalley gave Aisa advice and encouragement on future things to come during this next phase of his life. As an Uncle, our family was honored Coach Scalley showed-up to support Aisa. Yet as a coach, I was like…ok, ok, I see now why Morgan Scalley has had years of recruiting and coaching success — he leads with his heart and it’s all genuine. I finally got home to SLC. One more sleep and IT’S ON A KRACKIN’ wit’ Spring Ball. Forever proud to be at the University of Utah and led by Morgan Scalley #GoUtes #SpringBall26

Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Rest in peace, President Holland. (Video credit: Emily Susan Pack)
With heavy hearts, we announce that President Jeffrey R. Holland, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died today at approximately 3:15 a.m. MST from complications associated with kidney disease, while surrounded by his family. He was 85. “My total responsibility … is to bear witness of the Lord Jesus Christ,” President @HollandJeffreyR said hours after he was called to be an Apostle in 1994. “As inadequate as I feel, it is the most pleasant and most rewarding and most thrilling assignment a man can have in this world.” Visit the link for more information on the life and ministry of President Jeffrey R. 🐐 said it best. Embrace hard times because that’s where you’ll find growth. Go COUGS ‼️
Mike Leach said, "Nothing is really fun unless it's hard. We've got embrace that things are going to be hard and we've got to embrace to be excited when things are hard." If you only chase what’s easy, you’ll never become great. The best don’t fear obstacles - they embrace them. Resilience isn’t about avoiding challenges. It’s about attacking them.

One day, the games will end. - No more bus rides. - No more practices. - No more game days. But the memories will stay forever: - The teammates. - The laughter. - The moments that made it all worth it. Cherish every second.

Last year during this time, I wrote a similar post about my childhood friend: @CoachNokesDL (current DL Coach at Baylor) who coached in THE National Championship game for UW and then a few days later was jobless due to a HC change. I’m unsure whether Baylor saw my tweet, but I’m ABSOLUTELY certain decision-makers from other programs saw the tweet and called him because of it (they actually called me to get his contact info, then they called him). I’m hoping the same will happen for the men I highlight (garner employment) because they are too good to be “sitting on the sidelines” and not “in the game.” Plus, I love these men and want the best for them and their families. These three men pictured @CoachMalone18 @coachfrankmaile @AllenBrown_4 are in the same predicament Inoke was in last year; they were NOT fired, but the odd men out because of a HC change. Unlike Inoke, however, I’ve worked with Jordan Malone for 3 years, Allen Brown for 1 year, and Frank Maile, whom I’ve known for over a decade and was instrumental in him coming to Pullman, for the last 2 years at Wazzu. With every fiber of my being and without any curve in my vertebrae, I stand upright and state emphatically that these men are elite football coaches and truly men of substance. If you’re a decision maker for a college football program, it’ll behoove you to reach out to them. Interview them and you’ll see I’m telling the truth, or if you were already thinking about hiring them, I’m your last reference needed before hiring them. I also worked with analyst Justin Mesa @JustinMesa_ for 3 years and witnessed his work on defense, offense, and special teams. I didn’t feature him because I’m unsure if he’s going with the rest of the crew to WF. Granted, we’ve chosen this profession! We clearly understand the consequences tied to our passion as football coaches. It’s the reason I hold no Ill-will towards Coach Dickert nor have any reason to feel some-type-a-way about him; the tonnage of what I know through my experience in Pullman would stun a team of oxen, but most of it is out now and its best for me to move on. It’s also the reason I’m immensely grateful to Coaches Whittingham, Scalley, and Beck for hiring me at the University of Utah. Ironically, if not for them, this post could’ve been about me too. I use this app for 2 reasons: recruiting and authenticating the program for which I work (currently, the mighty Utah Utes!) Thus, over the years, I have acquired a slew of followers who are passionate about the past programs I’ve worked for and like the content I provide. I also have folks who follow my account that are actual decision-makers in football programs nationwide. They enjoy watching me, like recruits do, acting-a fool with my family and making videos that bring smiles to their faces. Either way, I hope you folks in the latter cohort are now informed about the availability of the men I’ve highlighted and understand you have a chance to get them before someone else scoops them up. My love to all of you, Mark Atuaia
