2026 Ron Massey Memorial Fall Hoops Classic Notes: SoCal's class of 2029 already had a special guard contingent brewing with the likes of Quali Giran, Will Conroy & Phillip Reed. You can now add Santa Clarita Valley sleeper 6-3 2029 Josiah McCoy to the depth of the list. Strong young lead guard with smooth stroke, well-built frame & sound decision-making had 16 pts (7/12 FG) in Valencia/CA's 55-53 win over Santa Margarita/CA. National prospect potential worth noting

2026 @FCPPangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp Notes: 6-3 2029 Josiah McCoy (Valencia/CA) is a Santa Clarita Valley sleeper worth future tracking. Smooth stroke from deep, McCoy is an efficient scorer as his 24 point (8/10 FG; 3/4 3FG) effort in his 1st game shows. Good defender too (4 steals)

FYI.. all the hold backs, reclassification, prep school, transfers, moves..etc.. all the shenanigans around HS basketball that has been going on for 40+ years..the same % of kids play in college.. it has not changed.. between 1-3 % of HS kids play at the next level.. that’s IT!!
All this talk about NIL, Transfers and Restrictions, Now a team with 5 transfers that started won a National Championship. Now What?
Not sure if there is a right answer.
As long as the kids are not being taken advantage of and are given every opportunity financially and academically,
I’m Good But I do have to say, if you getting paid you should pay for tuition at least, it opens up more money for the avg kid.. Thoughts?

Just to be clear I don’t know one college coach who is watching 15U basketball this summer. So programs let’s cut the bs on the “exposure” talks. I’m about to start calling people out.

So many kids think that it’s a knock on their abilities or their academic standings to go JUCO.
And it’s not their fault to think that.
The problem is so many coaches and advisors fail kids by not talking about JUCO.
JUCO is a stock booster.
These guys would agree

To the parents, players, high school and aau coaches who turn their noses up to Juco basketball clearly aren’t following the right accounts on social media. Last time I checked Juco players are getting offered left & right by D1 and 4yr schools!
