Should have run 2 Red. Mike backer would have been sitting right there. OLB wouldn’t leave the hash (actually a yd inside the hash) unless QB’s shoulders take them off. Corners press, but only carry three steps inside and work hole. Stay under fades with eyes on QB. Safeties bounce at 5yds in end zone and work laterally off the QB. 2 Red, or even maybe a twist stunt upfront vs empty would have stopped them. That’s why 4I’s are common vs Empty. Stop the QB draw.
