A lot of character in sport is broken, but a lot is good. This is an example of how good character in sport can make an impact on others. Well done @ryandaytime and @OhioStAthletics.
Woke up to see video of more pre-game, in-game and post-game altercations in high school football across our nation last night.
Coaches cannot prevent everything, but I'll default to "you get what you tolerate."
It's easy to talk and teach "tough"... and by the way, bravado, words and "look at me" trash is not tough at all.
Want to do hard? Teach Truth. Teach good. Teach self-control. Teach what it means to be a real man built to honor God and built for others.
And then hold everyone in the program accountable.
Enough is enough.

The Lord laid it on my heart to redeem sports culture for Christ 25 years ago. Not sure how to measure the efforts and results of that calling over that time frame.
But, the growing self-absorbed, foolish antics in college football and listening to uneducated, childish fans at the Presidents Cup remind me that much work lies ahead.
I still have logs in my own eyes, no doubt. But as leaders, coaches, fans and athletes, we can do better, for God's glory and not our own.
Two Christian schools.
Two physical battles in successive nights.
Finishing games together giving the King of kings thanks and honor.
Handshakes and bro hugs.
The way sport should be played.
