Managers are built different. They are led by a servants heart. It doesn’t change when the promotion comes. It’s who they are.
Dusty May is as hands-on as any coach in the NBA. Not unprecedented, but not typical, either.

Texas guard Joe Sterling said his trainer Clint Parks has helped him become the shooter he is today, a relationship that dates back to when he was in elementary school. "Later in life, my trainer Clint Parks, who has trained a bunch of NBA players, I started working with him end of fifth grade, and I was in fifth grade, sixth grade, so he's helped my shot a lot."

Ex-NBA hooper Kyle Wiltjer had the overseas real estate play figured out 🏠 Sign somewhere nice… buy a place instead of takin the club apartment… let the livin stipend cover most of the mortgage… then the next American rents it. @its_thadeacon said it best: that right there is the hack. ⚠️ Not financial advice. Sundance Wicks said his staff started "charting excuses" his players had in the first half against Regis tonight. "Let's just make a whole booklet of all the excuses of why it's not working out for us. Chart it. Eventually, we're just going to read your excuses back to you, and then you're going to find out, 'Man, that's pretty soft.'"

I wish my mother could have seen Georgia last night. When she called on women to become the soul of the nation, she was asking us to help shape what this country stands for and how it treats its people. She spent her life putting those words into action. I thought of her as Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Black woman elected governor of a U.S. state. I thought, too, of the Black women who went door to door, registered voters and organized for years. Many did not live to see what they helped make possible. Congratulations, Governor-elect Bottoms. Congratulations also to Penny Brown Reynolds, Georgia’s next secretary of state, and Tanya Miller, our next attorney general. I’m thinking of the Black girls who will grow up seeing women who look like them lead Georgia. I pray they see what my mother saw in leadership: the power to make life better for others and the responsibility to use it. #CorettaScottKing #KeishaLanceBottoms #PennyBrownReynolds #TanyaMiller #GeorgiaHistory

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face. These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy. While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

Jalen Brunson reveals that at 13 one line from Bob Hurley Sr. showed him his father’s pushing was never personal, and explains why he turns any coach yelling to find his breaking point into a positive message “Yeah, there was one, it was not necessarily on the court, actually. There was a moment when I was about 13 years old. I was at a tournament or something where I met Bobby Hurley Sr, and I mean, he’s a legend, obviously, and I was with my dad." "And I don’t remember if it’s coincidence or it happened, but I just remember it happened. And my dad was never my coach on a team, but he was always, like, my trainer and my mentor, father, obviously, but he always was pushing me on the court." "And Coach Hurley said, just know when your dad’s being a dad and when he’s being a coach. And I think that made me realize that whatever was happening on the court was never personal. Just wanted the best for me." "And so in high school and college, I had these coaches trying to, like, just always yelling. Yeah, just trying to, like, push me, trying to see, like, where my breaking point was. And I realized I had a dad who pushed me to the limit. And so no matter what is said or going on, I will always find a way to kind of take the message, right? And then turn it into something positive, regardless of how it’s being said or whatever, in the moment or whatever. That was a big moment for me.”
Steph Curry, asked how much he misses Klay Thompson, admits he wishes Klay were still a Warrior, and says what they built will be talked about forever “You know, everything’s not going to be the same, because we all grew up together. Me and Draymond, we grew up as adults. We grew up as competitors, as champions, and at the end of the day, when it is all said and done, I can’t wait for us to break bread, have a glass of bourbon, and reminisce on all the things that we were able to accomplish." "I’m happy for him in Miami. I know he wants to be in a situation where he can be impactful, have a, you know, championship-contending kind of energy going into the season. That’s, I think, what they have." "So for him, he deserves an opportunity to play and impact a winning team. I wish it was still with us, but that’s part of the nature of how things evolve in the league, and nobody’s going to hold that cloud over any of our heads, because of what we accomplished was so great that they’ll talk about it forever.”
