D3 doesn’t ban athletic scholarships by accident. It bans them on purpose.
No scholarship = no pressure to treat sports like a job. Athletes stay students first. Why is that an issue? Result of their approach? Highest graduation rates in the NCAA, the most participants, and kids who actually play for the love of the game.
Force scholarships and you kill the only division that still operates as the last form of amateurism in the country.
Definitely biased, but I continue to tell everyone I know that top level d3 can hang with FCS schools! Peep North Central at 224

#Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich's wife Christina, passed away after a long battle with cancer this year. Today, Jeff and the Falcons staff wore "I play for Christina Ulbrich" shirts.
Devastating story and an incredible gesture by the organization.

One of better sports interviews you’ll ever see. Matt Janiak of NCC @football_ncc is taking what @jockowillink calls Extreme Ownership after their last second loss to Wheaton. Most like to get their tummies rubbed after a loss and look for excuses but Matthew is as matter of fact and sincere as it gets about reality and not getting the desired result. This is a born leader that gets it at a young age already.
