I recently signed a 2-year, $12M NBA contract. Looking back, 3 decisions shaped how I got here: 1. Turned down an extra ~$250K to transfer for my 5th year and stayed at Stanford. 2. Chose to go undrafted instead of getting drafted so I could pick the best situation. That led me to Denver. 3. Turned down a ~$2M guaranteed extension to bet on myself in free agency. I risked injury, poor play, or getting nothing. I ended up earning roughly 3x that offer. Three times I had the opportunity to take the money/status in front of me. Three times I chose the option I thought gave me the best long-term expected value. $250K → No. Getting drafted → No. $2M guaranteed → No. Eventually → $12M. Sometimes the biggest risk is taking the safe option too early. #NBA #Sportsbusiness #Finance

Huge game from 6’11 big man Salim Diaby for Tilton this afternoon. Easily had a double double, grabbing boards with ease and scoring in the paint. Extremely mobile and quick on his feet. 2028 on the rise 📈 @SalimDiaby61883 @NERRHoops

I couldn’t be friends with those coaches because I’d be showing them Bennett Stirtz Cedric Coward Jaylen Wells All day every day There are WAY better HS kids than 24 yr olds. Coaches only see maturity not talent & that’s exactly why we’re in this mess today!

It’s really sad, but after the first recruiting weekend for the 2027 high school class, I had a couple of coaching friends tell me this week they can only take one or two high school players because they have to save spots for the transfer portal. I guess these kids have to go to lower levels and work their way up. A very small percentage will stay anywhere for four/five years. The new normal. 🤷🏼‍♂️🏀
