John Barren was a standout defensive back for the Tigers in the early 1980s, starting alongside his brother Mark. During the 1982 NFL strike, John Madden called them the “big bad Barren brothers” on CBS. His son, Danny ’20, later continued the family’s Wittenberg legacy. #TBT
