Basketball has a lying problem. Everybody says they want to win. Until winning means fewer shots, harder defense, a smaller role, passing up good for great, and cheering when you thought you’d play more. Everybody wants the trophy. Few want the truth it takes to earn it.

Your role is different than your value.
Your role is what the team needs from you today.
Your value is what you bring every day.
You can count your minutes or make your minutes count.

"When you wear the Kansas uniform, you realize you are just borrowing it for a while. There were 100 years of Kansas Basketball before I got there. There was a long list of great players who were there before me, and there would be many to follow." - Guest editor Nick Collison

As an AD, here’s a reminder for parents:
Competition is hard.
Winning is hard.
Losing is hard.
Being coached is hard.
Accountability is hard.
Competitive sports were never meant to be comfortable.
If you don’t want your child to face hard things, don’t sign them up for competitive athletics.
The struggle is the lesson.
The adversity is the teacher.
The hard is the point.

‼️ THIS IS A REMINDER TO ALL HS BASKETBALL PLAYERS‼️ Summer is where you separate yourself. Stay disciplined. Get in the gym an hour a day. That’s all you need. You will separate yourself. Look at your screen time… you got an hour to spare.

We just wrapped up training our middle schoolers for the school year. Pictured we have 24 8th graders who only missed 2 or less training sessions since spring break. This group is a very committed group and they hold each other accountable! Below is speed/jump testing numbers
