We jokin right….
Last night, the referees kept telling my OL to stop being so aggressive and excessive with their blocks.
I work hard to establish a standard with my guys: Finish every single play!
I’m not telling my guys to ease up. We’re going to play physical, finish blocks, and compete through the whistle!!
If the defensive guys don’t like it, they can work to get off the blocks. That’s football.
If that’s the basis for roughing the kicker against @BYU, then I belong in jail for child abuse for abruptly taking the scissors away from my 1 year old… what a terrible call. It’s time we figure out a way to use technology to take humans out of the equation. Absolutely terrible.
A Region Championship Win wouldn’t be nearly as good if I didn’t have the most supportive family God could give me… #football #hailtologanhigh #gogrizz
For next year’s parent/athlete meeting, every other slide is going to read: THOROUGHLY SEEK THE ANSWER PRIOR TO ASKING THE QUESTION followed by a 5 minute discussion for each.
Then the maybe we can get questions we’ve already answered in what we’ve put out to the team in writing, down from 119 times per season to 115 times.

Transfers are good and well and always have the potential to make teams great… but nothing beats the culture and chemistry that can be created with athletes who have played years together since youth leagues.
Any program would be blessed to have him. PICK HIM UP

NOBODY BUT US BELIEVED. BUT THEY FOUND OUT.
Congratulations to the 3A North Region Champions, the Logan Grizzlies!
They took down Morgan 32-22 to finish the regular season 8-2 overall and 5-0 in region play.
It's been a fantastic ride covering this team that no one outside of their locker room believed in. To @Hugie31, and to every assistant coach and player, you deserve all the praise for making this season special.
And now, on to the playoffs...

Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock.
But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, that’s roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams.
Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds.
And you don’t know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game.
That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him?
That might’ve been it.
What a privilege to be tired from the work you never thought God would help you find.
What a privilege to feel overwhelmed by the growth you used to dream you would experience.
What a privilege to be challenged by a life you spent hours, days and years to create on purpose.
What a privilege to experience the pain of outgrowing the things you used to settle for.
What a privilege to be burdened by the responsibilities of the success that once felt impossible to achieve.
What a privilege to go through the healing required to overcome the things that were supposed to break you.
What a privilege to wake up with purpose despite how far away and out of reach the goals may still yet seem.
What a privilege to be the version of yourself that has come so far and still prays to be better.
What. A. Privilege.
