More than a helmet. More than a jersey. It's pride, brotherhood, and representing something bigger than yourself.

Man, it is real stories like this that made me love being a Head Coach at the Junior college Level!
So many young men like yourself out there working your tail off, and betting on yourself to make it happen!
What a time it was to be a ‘jacket!!
Happy for you, keep impacting!
My Recruiting Story
People ask me why I’m so passionate about helping athletes with recruiting.
The answer is simple—I lived it.
In 2007, I was blessed to receive opportunities from Mary Hardin-Baylor and Blinn College. But I was a lost young man. I wasn’t ready mentally, and I walked away from football.
Two years later, everything changed.
My mom passed away.
Three weeks later, on Mother’s Day, my first child was born.
Experiencing my greatest loss and my greatest blessing so close together changed my perspective forever. I realized life is too short to spend it wondering, “What if?”
I decided I was going to chase my dream again.
There was just one problem—I had been away from football for nearly two years. There was no transfer portal, no recruiting services promoting athletes, and social media wasn’t what it is today.
So I created my own opportunity.
I got back in shape, went to my high school, found my old VHS highlight tapes, had them converted, uploaded them to YouTube, and started emailing college coaches.
Not 10 schools.
Not 50 schools.
Hundreds.
Most never responded.
Some said no.
But a few believed.
One of those schools was Arkansas. They liked my film but told me that because I’d been away from the game, I needed to prove myself at the junior college level first.
Then I got a phone call I’ll never forget.
Coach Hintz from Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) in Minnesota had just accepted the head coaching position, taking over for Coach Brad LaPlante, who was leaving to coach back in Texas.
That call changed my life.
I packed everything I owned and moved over 1,000 miles away from home to chase a dream that most people thought was over.
RCTC became one of the best experiences of my life.
I was part of one of the top junior college programs in the country and had the opportunity to compete with and against incredible talent. One of my teammates was Isaac Fruechte, one of the most talented—but even more importantly, one of the most genuine—people I’ve ever met. Watching him eventually make it to the NFL surprised none of us.
Our only loss came in the bowl game against Iowa Western. Their quarterback, Jake Waters, was the best quarterback I’d ever played against. Competing against players like that showed me exactly what the next level looked like.
Looking back, I realize my journey wasn’t really about football.
It was about faith.
It was about resilience.
It was about refusing to let one chapter define the rest of my story.
I had to learn recruiting on my own. I had to market myself, build relationships with coaches, and create opportunities instead of waiting for them.
That’s why I started Clutch Culture Sports.
I don’t promise scholarships.
I don’t guarantee offers.
I help athletes gain clarity, build a strategy, and give themselves the best chance to be seen.
Because I know what it feels like to think your opportunity is gone.
And I also know that sometimes all it takes is one email, one phone call, and one coach willing to believe in you to change your life.
Mine did.
