The Steelers broke the Bengals. They have not been the same since the muffed punt, then loss to Pittsburgh.

Dan Quinn and his analytics just cost Washington the game. Refusing to kick field goals in first half, cost them chance to tie there.

Then if they get a stop here would have only needed field goal to tie. Field goal there and then would have had chance. Now need TD.

A couple of true freshmen stepped up and made key clutch plays when the Indiana football team needed it today ➡️ TE Trevor Gibbs - 2 rec for 21 yards ➡️ LB Jacob Savage - 3 tkl, TFL, PBU Both players already outplaying their consensus three star rating for #iufb

This angle gets me, where he’s just kind of standing there soaking it in, then sees his daughter and smiles, then instantly melts into tears … whew. Hell of a run, 35.

Ole Miss might be the best team in the country. That would be poetic if they won it all this year.

Just because it’s the punt team doesn’t mean you can’t go beast mode

25 years ago today Welles Crowther gave his life helping others on 9/11. This is the best story @espn has ever done. Share it with your kids and any others who may not have been alive on 9/11 and don’t know what true bravery in the face of evil is.

Mike Tomlin says stepping away from coaching made him realize how much leading an NFL organization had quietly cost him, and reveals he hasn't been to a family reunion since 1997 “I’ve enjoyed 2026, man. The free time, had an opportunity to really just focus on my wellness, getting into shape and things of that nature.” “Man, when you lead a football team and football organization, sometimes you put yourself last. So it’s been good to kind of focus on some things like that and really just have time to be present with my family and friends.” “I went to a family reunion a couple weeks ago. I hadn’t been to a family reunion since 1997. The family reunion is always the third week in July. Where have I been all of my adult life the third week in July? In a football camp. My family was laughing that I was there.”

I’m struggling to understand why cleaning up a locker room, which is a bare minimum expectation of all good programs is impressive.
Coach Prime made sure Colorado cleaned Georgia Tech's locker room before leaving 👏 (via @DeionSanders)

Sean McVay says real leadership is caring enough to tell people what they need to hear instead of what they want to hear, and explains AI and technology are great tools but the value of human connection is non-negotiable in order to accomplish anything fulfilling “Are you comfortable with yourself to be able to surround yourself with truth tellers? Everybody throws the term psychological safety out there now. That doesn’t mean you’re always saying nice things to people. What that means is, if you love them and care enough about them to tell them what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.” “And that goes for, I don’t care if I’m the head coach, whatever. Nobody’s above being coached. Are you really building safety where people feel a freedom to fail, but also freedom to tell you, ‘Hey, I know you might be the head coach, but I don’t see it that way.’” “And then what kind of response am I giving to create that curiosity? And also being secure enough to take some of that stuff. That has been an ever evolving deal. Are you really communicating to connect and listening to understand people.” “I’ve really tried to work hard about listening more intentionally. But everything goes back to, it’s always about people. It always has been, it always will be. There’s so many cool upticks in AI and all these technological advancements, but I hope what doesn't get lost in the midst of it is anything that’s has to do with something that's fulfilling, that’s worthwhile and means something, it’s going to be about people, and it’s going to be hard, and it’s going to be worth it too.”
