Today, we lost a giant.
There was no greater friend to Hawai‘i and the Polynesian people than the legendary Coach JUNE JONES.
June was far more than a football coach. He was a visionary, a trailblazer, and a tireless champion for the people of Hawai‘i and Polynesia. His impact extended far beyond the football field, opening doors, changing lives, and inspiring generations of young Polynesian athletes to dream big.
His generosity, loyalty, and unwavering aloha were unmatched.
As a founding board member of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame and one of the driving forces behind the creation of the adidas Polynesian Bowl, June played an instrumental role in celebrating Polynesian football excellence and creating opportunities for future generations.
His legacy will live on forever, not only through his remarkable accomplishments, but in the countless lives he touched, the opportunities he created, and the love he had for the Polynesian people.
Rest in aloha, Coach. You were truly one of a kind, and we will never forget you. 🤙🌴❤️

64-60, Highland Park Freshman Blue (9-0) def. Dallas South Oak Cliff Freshman (8-1)
Scots trailed 40-21 at halftime. No doubt the best sub-varsity game I’ve ever watched. That was genuinely a ton of fun to attend. Both communities showed up.
Watching both sides have to adjust to certain strengths of their opponent on the fly was awesome. Iron sharpens iron. Every player on the field tonight got better and gained invaluable experience. Let’s find a way to run that thing back ↩️

Today marks my final day with DeSoto ISD. I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead a district with such a rich legacy of athletic excellence and championship tradition.
Thank you to the coaches, student-athletes, colleagues, and the entire DeSoto community for the relationships built, the lessons learned, and the memories made. It has been an honor to be part of the Fighting Eagles family.
As I turn the page to my next chapter, I leave with gratitude, respect, and faith in what’s ahead.

Dallas South Oak Cliff 2027 OL Zion Ragster has been a staple of the Golden Bear offensive line for three seasons.
In big games this season he’s filled in at tackle out of necessity for the team, but his future will be in the interior most likely at the center position . A leader with true experience and versatility.
Committed to Lamar University. #txhsfb

Dallas South Oak Cliff 2028 OT Ventry Horsley Jr. is a name I’ve been told about for two years now with his play this season starting to show upward strides.
Horsley as the new face amongst a veteran group up front has been thrown into some trial by fire situations against above average competition this season. Operating as a swing tackle he’s shown legitimate athleticism showing good reps versus top end talent along with confidence boosting reps in district play.
A face that I think college coaches will begin to know after this upcoming playoff stretch and on into the offseason.
