First, I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love at the next level. A huge thank you to my parents for their endless love, support, sacrifices, and for always believing in me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without y’all.
I also want to give a special thank you to Coach Abe, Coach Bul, CP, Coach Price, and every coach in between who has pushed me, believed in me, and helped me become the player I am today. Every practice, lesson, and opportunity has helped me reach this moment.

After a lot of time and consideration, I am excited to announce that I will be committing to Southwestern University to further my Academic and Softball career.
First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me the strength, ability, and opportunity to play the game I love. Through every challenge and every obstacle, he has continued to guide me, strengthen me, and make a way for me, even when I couldn’t see one. I know that this journey would not have been possible without him and I am beyond grateful for all he has done and continues to do in my life.
I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have supported me throughout this process. Most importantly, I would like to thank my parents for the late night talks and the early morning practice sessions, without y’all none of this would have been possible! I especially would like to thank my dad. Dad without you I wouldn’t be the player that I am today you’ve been the best Coach anyone could have ever asked for and I’m so grateful for everything you have done for me. I would also like to extend a huge thank you to Coach Derrick, Coach Mike, Coach Brian, Coach Eddie, Coach Amy, Coach Hines, Coach Ruby, Coach Rodriguez, Coach Salters and Coach Cook who have helped shape me into the player that I am today. A special thank you to Coach JR for being by my side all these years, even when you were trying to kill me 😂. Throughout it all you have been there to support me. Finally, I would like to thank Coach Lynn and Coach Cruse for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue my softball career at Southwestern University! I’m excited for this next chapter and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! Go Pirates! 🏴☠️💛🤍 #P4L @SUPiratesSB @TakeCharge_SB @CoachLynnSUSB @K_Cruse7

Pirates Athletic Director, Ken Ralph, announces retirement in December after 37 total years in college athletics, including four years of immense impact at Southwestern!!
Ralph was instrumental in several initiatives including locker room improvements, a new team film room, a recruiting lounge, a content creation studio, baseball facility upgrades, field lighting upgrades, the golf lab, branding upgrades, the new Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, and more!!
Above all else, Ralph’s presence was felt by every staff member and athlete as he attended every single Pirate home event. He encouraged our students both in competition and life beyond sports!
Please join us in thanking him for his leadership and congratulating him on his retirement. We will announce a search process for our next director of intercollegiate athletics soon.

First and foremost, I give all the glory to God. None of this would have been possible without His guidance, grace, and unwavering faithfulness. Through every challenge, setback, and victory, He has reminded me to trust His timing and His plan. I am thankful that He has opened this door and blessed me with the opportunity to continue pursuing the sport I love while growing in my faith and education.
To my parents, thank you for every sacrifice you have made, for the countless hours spent supporting my dreams, and for believing in me even during the moments when I struggled to believe in myself. Your love, encouragement, and unwavering support have meant everything. To my family, thank you for always standing by my side and cheering me on every step of the way.
Thank you to my Athletics Mercado coaches for pushing me to become the best player—and person—I can be. I am so grateful for your guidance and for helping me grow throughout this journey.
Thank you to Coach Brett Berryhill for your constant encouragement, not only in improving my swing but also in helping me overcome the mental challenges that come with this game. Your belief in me has made a lasting impact.
Finally, thank you to Coach Lynn and the entire Southwestern coaching staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue my athletic and academic career at the next level. I am honored to be joining the Pirate family.
I can't wait to see what God has in store for this next chapter. All glory to Him!
