Just had a great 60-minute conversation with a good friend of mine who was a drafted.
We both agreed on two things:
1. Today’s players are far superior athletes than we ever were but not as good as players as we were.
2. Fundamentals now look like excellence in the game today

Pre-season conditioning, is not just about getting in shape. It’s about seeing who will fight thru adversity. Who fight or flee during tough times. And will the team stay together. It’s more than just a mile time.
Interesting that these policies identified the main revenue generating sports (football, men’s & women’s basketball) but intentionally left of baseball…
