Great test tonight in our scrimmage against a top-ranked Florida Southern team! We created plenty of good opportunities but came up short 96-90. Proud of the way our guys competed and battled until the end!
A lot of positives to build on and plenty of areas to improve. We’ll learn, grow, and be better!
Great preparation for our season opener on Friday! 🦅🦅🦅🏀@PolkStateHoops

Tiago Splitter is off to such a great start, man. This is exactly the kind of accountability and attention to detail that a young team needs to flourish. I think his style resonates with this squad, looking forward to a lot more of this.

What a great way to close out the weekend! This was by far our most complete game as a team, and I couldn’t be more proud of the effort, discipline, and determination these young men displayed. I’m extremely excited about this group and what we’re building together. The future is bright!

Joe Mazzulla on reports of the Celtics vibes being high at training camp
"Every team you lead is the most together team right now. Because we haven't traveled. No one's gotten benched. No one's been on a losing streak. No one's gotten blamed in the media. No one's had to go stand in the corner for 10 minutes and not get the ball. So, you learn those things as the season goes on, and you just learn how to work through those things together. And you can't simulate those. It just comes with time. And so, right now I would say all 30 teams feel great about themselves, and we got to wait till adversity hits. And adversity is even a strong word. There's nothing really adverse about playing in the NBA. But we got to wait until stuff doesn't go your way, and then you got to figure out who we are and how we're going to be at our best."
