This past weekend in Newberry was about challenging ourselves as individuals and as players. We saw the best competition the country offers in 16u and it was extremely fun competing against that level of competition and truly testing ourselves. While the record doesn’t tell the whole story, I feel like we gained some confidence and learned how to handle “hard” better. To quote Kara Lawson (@DukeWBB ), to be great, as a team we have to learn to handle hard better than the opposing team. I rarely am 100% happy with my stats and I can say the same thing again this past weekend, but as long as I can do the controllable parts of the game at 100%, then I have controlled what I could. Thanks to all the coaches that came and watched our team. We definitely appreciate it and hope to see y’all again next weekend in Atlanta at the Triple Crown Veterans Showcase: Next stop Atlanta! See my stats from this last weekend below. It was such a fun reunion with my D1V teammates this past weekend at the Death Valley Invitional. While myself nor my team performed to the best of our abilities, we know what we have to work on. Thanks to all the coaches that came and watched us while we competed. I was somewhat happy with my results at the plate. I barreled a couple of balls that did not make it through but still put together QABs and scored 3 runs as a result of those QABs. This week we are headed to Newberry, FL for the Show Me the Money Tournament. I am dropping our schedule below. Stats from Death Valley Invitational 7 PA 5 AB 1 Hit 3 Runs 2 Walks .429 OBP 100% Contact Rate 3 QABs See highlights below. @d1vision_sb @D1Vision_Bandy @dkbandy07 @Coach_Cj_Simons @DJSanders37 @LindsayFico @AnnaShelnutt @ashleighhmclean @kellyhorne31 @e_newellcoach @Coach_India_C @defo25 @HolliMitchell8 @_GSWSoftball @UWGSoftball @BradHuskisson @AUG_Softball @11BWade @CoachPerkinsSB @GCSU_Softball @hollomant @TinaWiley03 @mrsmobro @robyn_bales @CoachJessStrong @DrDotRichardson @coachkelsid @CoachJordanSB @Coach_A_Mo @JAXCoachE @CoachKuhlmeyer @EKinberger @megdcurry @UGACoachTony @BrookeOHair3 @coachmere_16 @JeffConrad10 @Acozart44 @GarrettSkelton5 @SBRRetweets @SoftbalAmerica @D1Softball @LineDsoftball @ExtraInningSB @GAGirlsHammock
