I consider myself so privileged to have known and worked with Roy Torrens. You couldn’t meet a kinder, more genuine person. Some amazing memories and stories. We had a blast at the 2015 World Cup. My sincere condolences to Joan and family.

Sometimes words fail to explain the impact that a person can have on us. Today @Irelandcricket lost one of its very best. I will be forever grateful for the times spent at home and around the world with the great Roy Torrens. Sincere sympathies to Joan and the family circle.

So saddened to hear the passing of King Roy Torrens 🏏 on away trips especially he was a joy to be around. Sending all my love to Joan and family! “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure” #RipRoy

You can go on courses (done that), study (still doing that), conferences (done that), read (doing that), or you could have a pint, maybe two, with Roy Torrens, and learn more in an hour. A wonderful man, wise, clever, kind, caring and funny. What a life, what a man #RIPRoy
